  • Airport car ideas

We use Eastern. They’ve been pretty good.
  • ISO car service that you can call (no apps)

I like Eastern at 718-499-6227. They have car seats too.
  • ISO car service that you can call (no apps)

I use Eastern, especially to go to the airport. I believe they allow you to request a car seat.
  • how to get a taxi / car service from JFK with a car seat in it?

We’ve often used Eastern Car Service for airport rides and they even have a (basic) app you can use to book and the track the reservation/car status. You can also reserve your pick-up ride as well and input your arriving flight info. *if there’s a time change though the app is weird and you should input your arriving time in the time zone you are flying from, not to. It’s been a while since we’ve needed a car seat but they do provide that option, though as others have noted may want to check install.
  • Airport Car Services w/ TWO Car Seats

Eastern Car Service lets you choose different car seat combinations on their website. You also specify how much luggage you have. We just used them for trips to/from JFK/LGA and they were great. They arrived early to make sure the seat was installed correctly and had us on the road a few minutes early. On the way back they were there waiting for us when we landed with everything ready to go. It was a surprisingly smooth experience.
  • Car service Recs from airport?

Do not use eastern car service, the car never showed up and this is after I called twice to confirm the ride. I was stranded with my 3 month old.
  • Car Service to Airport w/ car seat

I had a terrible experience with Eastern a few months ago, driver never showed up. I called after the driver was supposed to arrive and they said they didn’t have any one in my area and had to cancel. This was a scheduled pickup… they didn’t even seem to care that I was now left without transport for myself and my 4 month old. Definitely do not recommend them.
  • Eastern Car Service

I always use Eastern for airport runs - which there haven't been many of in the past 1.5 years - but they are still wonderful and reliable as ever! They have an app that makes it really easy.
  • Taxi or car services with car seats

We use Eastern Car service for going to the airport. When you call you just let them know that you need a car seat and what kind and theyll send it along. I think it costs $5 extra.
  • Taxi or car services with car seats

We used Eastern Car Service before when we travelled with our then 7 month old son, to and from the airport. They brought their own infant car seat (make sure to specify when making the order) and were generally OK on both ends of the trip.
  • How do I get to JFK with my baby? (not a car owner)

We had good experiences in the past with Eastern Car Services, who charge a little extra if you need them to supply a car seat. And I have only used Uber a couple of times, but was appalled that they doubled the charges on me last time because supposedly it was a peak time at 2pm on a Wednesday. I didn't receive any warning but even if I had, if it comes late enough, and you have no other wheels to get to the destination, what are you supposed to do??? Really shocked they can do that. So - I suggest Eastern, who don't suddenly double the prices on you.
  • Car service with infant?

Eastern will provide an infant seat or toddler seat if you request one when you book. We use them whenever we go to the airport, with or without our son.
  • Car services with toddler car seats

We've used Eastern Car service and its always been good. You tell them on the phone what type of seat you need and they come with it ready to go. They are very reasonable in terms of cost for getting to the airport, and I also took them to the hospital when I was in labor!
  • Car Service with Rear Facing Car Seat

I've used Eastern Car Service many times for both rear and forward-facing car seats.
  • Re: Car service w/ car seat esp Uber Family -- recent use from LGA?

We used Eastern Car service. They arrived with a mini van and car seat installed. The car seat was appropriate for my 5 month old. The guy was super nice. And the price was the same (maybe slightly less) as what was predicted for Uber. I will be using Eastern from now on.
  • ISO car to airport advice --w/carseats

We have not needed 2 carseats but we have had great experience with Eastern Car Service. They have a website that you can reserve on and you can choose what type of seat you need and how many and also specify the type of car you will need.
  • ISO car to airport advice --w/carseats

You can reserve a minivan with two car seats from Eastern or Legends car services. In our experience Eastern is usually less expensive.
  • Re: ISO: recommendation for a car service to pick up my mom at airport

Eastern Car Service, based in the Slope, charge $15 extra for a meet and greet service. Used it for an elderly friend once with no complaints
  • Advice on using Uber and needing a toddler car seat or booster?

Eastern Car Service has always been super accommodating to both car seats and disabilities.
  • car service with car seat

I've had good luck with Eastern. They also let you reserve the car a day or so in advance. This may help on a Saturday night.
  • car service with car seat

Eastern Car Service. I think it's $35 plus $5 for the car seat to JFK. We live in Grand Army Plaza area. 866-499-7177. Make sure you get a price quote before hand. I have had one bad experience where my mom was given a different price and she paid it, and it was MUCH more than it should have been. All other times we've had nothing but good experiences.
  • car service with car seat

We've used Eastern - they have a driver called Angel who has a baby car seat in his trunk.
  • car service with car seat

We used Eastern on Super Bowl Sunday and had no problems or waits either direction. (Reviewed May 2015
  • limo service recs for JFK?

I would caution you against booking Eastern! Eastern has been our go-to car service (with mixed results), so we booked them to pick us up from JFK when coming home from vacation last week. We had two kids and lots of luggage, so booked a minivan (plus carseat) with inside meet and greet. We booked the car over a week in advance and gave our credit card number to complete the reservation. We then called 24 hours before to confirm. Tuesday night we landed and got through customs and our car was not there. No message from Eastern. So we called them and they said, "Oh - we see your reservation right here, but we didn't have any minivans available right now so we didn't send anyone." They said they reserve the right to cancel reservations at any time for any reason. We asked to speak to a manager and they said that someone would call us the next day. (They didn't). And meanwhile it was midnight and we were stuck at the airport and the taxi line was breathtakingly long. I was appalled that they simply cancelled our reservation with no communication to us whatsoever - we had no idea that was a possibility.
  • limo service recs for JFK?

We have had good experience with eastern, you can ask for a car with a baby seat.
  • Airport car service with car seat?

We have also in a love/hate relationship with Eastern and their car seat service (or lack thereof!) (Reviewed Jan 2015)
  • Airport car service with car seat?

Personally, I had a dangerous experience with an infant seat while using Eastern. I would not use them for an infant seat. (Reviewed Jan 2015)
  • Airport car service with car seat?

We continue to use Eastern and I’m not sure why. They have always disappointed us. Four times they have only brought one car seat when we specifically requested two and the last time they not only brought just one car seat, they were also 30 minutes late. (Reviewed Jan 2015)
  • Airport car service with car seat?

I'm pretty sure that Eastern will do pickups at Newark, we have used them for trips to and back from JFK with our baby and they have been great. (Reviewed Jan 2015)
  • Airport car service with car seat?

Contact Eastern Car Service on (866) 499-7177 to find out if they service Newark. We've used them to and from JFK and LaGuardia and their infant car seats have been good quality. And they only charge an extra $5 for the seat! (Reviewed Jan 2015)
  • $$ Problems with Eastern Car Service?

Yesterday morning we had a complete fail with Eastern. We called for a car to LGA, and the driver called us confirming our address, said he'd be there in 2 minutes, called back and asked what airline, what terminal, and a few other questions we couldn't understand. He seemed completely confused. We told him never mind, called Arecibo, and they arrived before Eastern. We called Eastern twice to cancel and they didn't pick up.
  • Car services with baby car seats

I've only used Eastern for rides to and from the airport. On one trip we used one of their seats (which was ratty, but the driver knew how to install it), and on another trip we used our own and installed it ourselves.
  • Re: Car service w car seat to/from airport?

Eastern, (718) 499-6227, has car seats. They're really good. They do charge $5 though for the seat and $5 to pay by credit card. Try to pay the tip in cash because the driver doesn't get the tip when you add it to your credit card.
  • Reliable car service

    We like them too
  • Reliable car service

    We like Eastern Car Service.
  • Eastern

I took Eastern today and in one direction I waited 30 min for a car (which was supposed to arrive in 5) and the other direction the driver showed up w a car seat and no base. Also the seat's straps weren't adjustable so it was more or less useless.
  • Re: ISO: car service that has a car seat

we use eastern car service, and we like them. they are anywhere from early to 5-10 minutes late typically. we request the carseat size over the phone. they usually can accept credit cards for payment over the phone too which is a plus. i think i've seen many parents on this board recommend them, so that's why we tried them.
  • Re: ISO: car service that has a car seat

I've had a great experiences with them. They only charge $5 for a car seat.
  • Re: ISO: car service that has a car seat

Eastern! Just specify infant or convertible.
  • Re: Family-Friendly Car Services in/around Park Slope

We really like Eastern and it's only $5 extra for a car seat.
  • Car service shoutout

My baby and I recently had the pleasure of being transported to JFK by Kleibert Giron of Eastern Car Service. Kleibert was prompt, polite, personable, and, above all, extraordinarily safe in his navigation of traffic. He carries newborn, toddler, and booster seats, and knows how to use them. I didn't note if his car is a hybrid but because he's listed with Eastern Luxury, I think it must be. I have never been so impressed with a driver, or moved to recommend one. Kleibert may be young, but he's an absolute professional who also happens to be saving to put himself through college in civil engineering, a cause I'm sure many of us can support.
  • Most Inexpensive Park Slope Car Service?

We like Eastern. Cheaper than Legends and usually pretty reliable.
  • (no subject)

I always use Eastern Car Service, they are reliable and have good car seats on request. August 2012

We stopped using Eastern months ago after they send a front facing car seat 3 X when we specifically and clearly stressed that it had to be the kind that faced the rear. (September 2011)
  • (no subject)

I have also used Eastern Car service. 1) They did show up (trips to airport) but it does no harm to leave extra time because once they were caught in traffic on the way. Stress a few times what kind of seat you need and they will have it. 2) when I had them meet us at the airport this month, there was a problem. I had arranged it from England. The rep. on the phone insisted we didn't need to pay the extra to have the driver park and then meet us in the arrivals area with a sign. Oh no, we could just find him outside with no problems etc. Big mistake. It was a horrible snowy evening when we arrived with our toddler and I was trying to understand the guy on the mobile who was somewhere around with his car but we couldn't figure out where on earth he actually was. He was unable to come to the arrivals area. I was hunting up and down for him, getting more and more upset, till another 'Eastern' driver located him for me. There was no visible marker on the car that I could see. I had flown in from Europe, the toddler restless the whole time, and this was the LAST thing i needed. Next time, if I arrange a pick-up and use them, I will insist on paying the extra and having the guy park and appear with a big sign. Jan 2011

Caveat about Eastern. I, as have others I know, have had a no-show from them, and a couple of times when no one answered the phone. (Jan 2011)
  • Car Service with baby to Airport?

I have used Eastern since my son was born and have been very pleased. Jan 2011

Looking for Car Service To LGA with Car Seat We usually use Eastern Car Service. You can make a reservation with them ahead of time, or just call them when you need it. They have a few cars with car seats. To LGA from Prospect Heights, it's $35, plus $5 per car seat. You need to specify what kind of carseat (i.e. infant, toddler, booster, etc). (Jan 2011)
  • car service from the airport?

We always call Eastern as soon as we land, and the car is always there before we make it out of the terminal. (December, 2010).

You can book them on line. I found them through the PSP archives, I think. I plan to use them a 2nd time to the airport. From my 2 experiences with such car services (the other abroad), I've learned: always stress a zillion times which kind of seat you need and book them to come much earlier than you think you need them ( assuming time matters, as with a plane journey).
  • Car service w/ car seats

Eastern Car Service charges $5 extra for the car seat. Some times it's installed but mostly they have you do it to be sure it's to your liking.

I used Eastern Car Service v recently, and I don't own a carseat (having no car) The car service brought the seat already installed in the car, I didn't have to do more than install the baby in it. Also - the car service was OK but I was glad I booked them EARLY with plenty of time to get to the airport. In fact, I booked them days in advance through the website, choosing a time that would allow for mishaps or errors on their part, since I"d never used such a service. They phoned near the time to say they were caught in traffic and also asked me again a few times whether I wanted the infant car seat or the one for toddlers that faces forward (I wanted the latter). So make sure you allow plenty of time and be prepared to emphasize which kind of seat you need a few times. They then arrived a little late and all was fine.

I would NOT recommend Eastern Car Service. While they have always been fine in picking me up from my house, they recently made me wait over 45 minutes in picking me up from the airport and then finally told me that it would be another 40 minutes before a car with two car seats would get there. This was now 9 pm, and I was furious. (Recommended 2/10)

I've had good experiences with Eastern over the past 10 years, although I did have a bad one after a snowstorm about 11 years ago. I find that they have the nicest cars overall. (Recommended 2/10)
