  • ISO Swim Lessons for infant

we take our baby to eastern athletic, right by GAP. Eric is wonderful teacher, and lessons start at 6 months. Our session ends in January, and we will probably sign her up for the next one, not sure when that will start. the locker rooms are clean and carpeted. Makes changing a baby so much easier.
  • THANKS & SUMMARY Warm Water Swim Class for Fearful 4 y.o.

We did Imagine at CBE with wetsuits but I also ran into the same issue. The water at the eastern athletic facility by grand army plaza was much warmer (and cleaner!) but was too far away for us.
  • Swimming Lesson Recommendations

I took my two older kids for years to Eastern Athletic on Clark Street in Brooklyn Heights to swim with Judy. She is fabulous. There were also good instructors at the Grand Army location, but I was attached to Judy and was allowed to sit beside the pool and the lessons for each of them was back to back, so good for both ages.

We take a class at Eastern Athletic Club in Brooklyn Heights (clark street close to 2/3 train) with Judith she is wonderful with children and gets them under the water immediately, they also have classes at their prospect heights location (which we took 3 years ago when our eldest was a baby). (July 2011)

Eastern Athletic Club Name of specific class (if applicable) - pre-beginner swimming How old is your child? (or the age when he/she attended this program)? Age: - 4 What did you/your child like about this program or class? Erick, one of the instructors, is absolutely fabulous. He has a way of making all the kids feel comfortable in the water, at whatever level they are. He doesn't make a big deal about being in the water; he's encouraging and laid-back, but makes sure all the kids test their own limits, even if just a very little bit. I really saw my daughter's physical confidence grow with Erick's encouragement. Will you send your child back to this program or class again? (Or would you if you could?) Yes Would you recommend this program to other parents for their child in the future? Highly recommend
