General Contractor recommendation
I want to give a huge shout-out to Eagle Contractors who just finished work on our house and we are delighted. We found Eagle through PSP recommendations and want to share the love: http://eaglecontractor.com, 718-333-5771 Our roof was damaged and our cellar was trashed after Ida; we needed a LOT of remediation and waterproofing and Eagle more than delivered—they did first-rate work, the job came in exactly on budget, and they exceeded our expectations in every way. We got a bunch of quotes before we started; price-wise Eagle was right in the middle, but Edmond was the only contractor who carefully measured and photographed everything when he looked at the job so he inspired confidence before we even hired him. Now our roof is fixed, our cellar is dry and waterproofed, we have a fancy new drain and sump pump, but they went out of their way to make everything look good--we just needed to keep the costs down, but they used bits and pieces they had on hand to make everything look great, too. In fact, they did lots of little extras without billing us: Fixing a toilet here, or a dripping faucet there, fixing electric sockets, etc. Edmond and his guys were an absolute dream to work with: they were super careful about making sure the pets didn't get out, they were great about dust-covers, every day they left the place cleaner than they found it, and they were a joy to be around. Really nice people. Eagle is a long-standing family firm that gives great value for money, relies on word-of-mouth advertising, and they work really hard to please. We are extremely grateful to PSP for introducing us!(no subject)
Eagle Contractors did a total renovation of our bathroom in January 2009 and did a very good job. Manny Duka, the boss, (tel.718-6861100) took a strong personal interest in the way his men worked, and actually drove me and my husband around choosing fixtures and tiles in various stores. His suggestion of tiles worked wonderfully in the bathroom, and he got us a discount at the store in question, in Park Slope. Our bathroom, in our brownstone house, had not been renovated for maybe half a century, and was in a sorry state. We have had it totally rearranged. He agreed to work at short notice which was convenient for us at the time because we were in a hurry, partly because I was pregnant and wanted the work done before my final trimester; and his men were polite and reliable (unlike other contractors I have dealt with in the past). Eagle contractors have their own website, www.eaglecontractor.com. I do not have any commercial interest in writing this review; I am simply a satisfied customer. I actually found this contractor through the PSP website and am happy now to add my own positive review.(no subject)
Eagle Contractors recently completed a gut renovation of our bathroom and we are incredibly pleased with the job they did. Manny and his team worked on our bathroom with such care and detail, as if it was their own home. His men came promptly every morning and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. Manny was by each day to supervise the job. Not only were the guys extremely accommodating to all of our requests, which were many as we had a lot of intricate details going into the project, they were also very pleasant. Manny and his team had a good aesthetic sense as well and were able to help us with material recommendations, which we appreciated. We would definitely use them again and wholeheartedly recommend them.(no subject)
About Bathroom renovation: Manny Duka supervises his men very carefully, putting his hand to the task himself here and there, and takes a real interest and pride in it. We don't have a car, and he has driven us around plumbing supply stores and tile stores to find the materials. (Recommended 01/09)
