Park slope family dentistry is no frills. We saw Dr. Pollack who was fine and they are more moderately priced.Pediatrics dentist recommendations in Park Slope

We are very happy with Dr. Pollack at Park Slope Family Dentistry on Fifth Ave near Carroll.(no subject)
Very happy with Dr Pollack on 5th Ave. So patient and engaging. Our daughter insisted on making a card and necklace for him after her appt! (March 2012)(no subject)
We have been going to Dr. Pollack for 4 years. I have to say that I believe over the years he has become more stressed and overall not as friendly and less patient. I'm probably not going to switch b/c its just not worth it.. but if I were starting again I may look elsewhere. (March 2012)Review from 2011 PSP Dentist Survey
Review Feb.2011 LOVE HIM! He is gentle, patient and kind. He is great with kids. He remembers what they like and asks good questions to warm them up. INSURANCE: I have terrible insurance--have never used it. I file out-of-network claims with my husband's union plan. I always pay the dentist up front.Review from PSP 2011 Dentist Survey
Review Feb.2011 Dr. Pollack was a positive surprise for my daughter's first dentist visit. Stickers, treats and a choice of various bubble-gum-marshmallow-candy-cane flavored toothpaste and cleanings made me wish I had been there as a child. It was a great first dentist visit experience for my daughter. INSURANCE: AETNA - yes. No problems so far.Review from 2011 PSP Dentist Survey
Review Feb.2011 We have not loved this dentist, but our most recent visit was a horror. He was belittling of my son, barking at him to lie still, and acting like my son. was nuts. I actually had to stop him and firmly explain to him that he was making my son really anxious, and I took over using lots of verbal praise and warmth, so my son was able to complete the visit. We will not return ever. Dr. schwartz is at the same practice, and we did not have issues with him, mind you. INSURANCE: We have had some difficulties.Review from 2011 PSP Dentist Survey
Review Feb.2011 We have had Dr. Pollock for my son's whole history of having teeth (my son is now almost ten) and Dr. Pollock is terrific. My son had some sensory issues when he was a toddler and couldn't stand loud noises, strong smells, so the prospect of having him at the dentist made me very tense, but Dr. Pollock was so soothing and had such a great way of interacting with kids, my son sat through the first and every subsequent visit quietly and calmly. In fact my son now looks forward to seeing Dr. Pollock and they have lively conversations. I recommend him to my friends with kids because I think he has an extraordinary touch with children. Unfortunately he is at the practice only one or two days a week so you have to make an appointment with him way in advance. INSURANCE: Aetna. They take this insurance and it has been smooth with Aetna. However, the dentists' office messed up once and insisted that we didn't pay our portion of a bill when we did. It has only happened once so I gave them a pass, especially as I like Dr. Pollock.(no subject)
My kids have seen Dr. Pollack at Park Slope Family Dentistry (my husband and I go there as well) and we have been very happy. Dr. Pollack is straightforward and kind, no frills - my kids are always happy to go and happy to leave with their new toothbrushes and toothpastes as well as trinkets from the front desk.
