Review from the Spring 2023 Birthing SurveyPostpartum Caregiver: Diana Antonelli and Manon Chevallereau Review: Both were great! They especially helped with latching and I appreciated their expertise in child development, which family members don’t necessarily have. Manon is very forthcoming with suggestions and we appreciated that. At 4 months she helped us get the baby to nap in her own room by self soothing and it was a game changer. I do recommend asking a doula for a contract or at least an outline of what to expect and if they have expiration dates on the their services. Manon’s policy is not to do house visits and only offer virtual support after 6 months, but I was not aware of this until after 6 months. It’s ok in the end but we had a miscommunication about that. Diana offered us night doula support and she was phenomenal at calming and soothing the baby. She is a true baby whisperer and helped us with latching when we really needed it.

Review from the 2020 Birthing Experience SurveyDiana was an absolute life saver in those early days when I knew nothing about how to care for a baby! She taught me so much about baby sleep, swaddling, bathing etc. she answered all my random questions. She also helped me care for myself and get set up with breastfeeding.

ISO Postpartum Doula RecommendationsI “third” the recommendation for Diana Antonelli! She literally saved me in the early days after the birth of my first child. My husband and I benefitted so much from Diana’s care and expertise towards my child as well as helped us adjust to be being parents in this early time. She was also very responsive via phone when she wasn’t with us in person. Cannot recommend her higher!

ISO Postpartum Doula RecommendationsI cannot second this recommendation strongly enough! Diana Antonelli is a sacred name in our household. She made the first weeks of parenthood not only more manageable but more magical. I found her presence profoundly reassuring, soothing, and inspiring--even the way she spoke to and handled our daughter was a form of instruction. I felt guided and supported, never bossed around or patronized or invaded. It's such a private and vulnerable time; it was really a gift to share it with someone who made us all feel calm. Also, on a practical level, she's been doing this for a long time and knows a tremendous amount about baby gear, methods, books, etc. You name it, she's come across it and can offer some insight into how it worked or didn't work for other families. And she's really not doctrinaire--she knows that babies, parents, homes are all different. As you can tell, I'd be more than happy to gush at greater length. Sometimes I wonder if we'll have another baby just so we can spend time with Diana again.

ISO Postpartum Doula RecommendationsI highly recommend my post partum doula—Diana Antonelli. Her e-mail is antonelli8@aol.com. She made those first couple of weeks at home so much more manageable. She also taught my husband a lot about taking care of/soothing the baby etc. happy to provide more info.

Recs for help w new babyI had a post-partum doula I adored. Her name is Diana Antonelli. Happy to give her your phone #. She's a lot more expensive an hour than a night nurse, but you use her for fewer hours. It's like having a wonderful aunt (who just happens to know everything about baby care) in the house who is gentle and kind and takes care of you as well as the baby and has no agenda--truly there to serve your needs and bring her expertise to bear.

Birth Survey 2012Review Date: April 2012 REVIEW: Diana was an amazing post-partum doula. I don't have a lot of family, and mother passed away so we were very much in need of someone to help guide us through the very beginning of our parenting days and help me to recover from the birth. We had a home birth and Diana was there the next day, helping us to "survive" and make sure that we were caring for our newborn appropriately. She was IMMENSELY helpful with assisting me to get a good start with breastfeeding. My baby had trouble with latching but she helped me to have patience and try different positions. She really stabilized us during some very crazy days and surging hormones! INSURANCE ISSUES: No, we paid her out of pocket
