Anyone been Apple/veggie picking under an hour in last couple of weeks?
Demarest Farms! They make you book a reservation and they were very good with Covid procedures. The drive was about an hour away from BK. --apple picking
Demarest farms is only 45m away when traffic is light. No hayrides or farm animals this year but they have apples and pumpkins, little play houses and outdoor structures near the orchard and a playground (by farm shop). You have to book in advance though. We had a good time there but it was our first time apple picking so can’t compare to previous experience!Best orchards for apple picking
We went to Demarest Farms last weekend – a 45-minute drive from here. They require masks for all visitors, and the staff were all properly masked. They also have hand-washing stations with soap throughout the farm. We had a Sunday 9:30am ticket, and arrived closer to 10:00, and it wasn't too busy. Definitely a bit busier by the time we left around 11:30, but still easy to social distance. There's tons of apple varieties available, and it's organized so it's not too much walking unless you really want to meander, which is good since they don't allow strollers or backpacks.
