The kids engage in their own unique ways while adult participation historically is inspiring. Guitar playing mom Debbie Brukman has been leading sing-a-longs, teaching music classes, and teaching music at Beth Elohim's Early Childhood Center for over a decade. shout out for a wonderful music class for young kids!
I want to give a shout out to Debbie Brukman's music class!!! My daughter has been in her regular weekly class (https://www.debbiebrukman.com/) for the past almost three years and has absolutely loved it. Debbie has had such a positive impact on her, that she took up playing the ukele at the young age of 3. She strums along happily, singing the songs she has learned, playing the "guitar like Debbie" and loving music-making. Now that my daughter is a bit older and going to school full time we will miss our regular dose of Debbie's infectious energy, warmth and musical chops. I highly recommend her class to anyone with kids ages 0-3 and if I had another child, I'd send them too!Shoutout to Debbie Brukman's Music Class (plus a great gift!)
I want to shoutout Debbie Brukman's Music Class! Both my 4 and 2 year olds have gone to Debbie's classes since they were babies and absolutely adore her and her music and she makes it really fun for grown-ups too. We sing "Debbie songs" daily! Her winter classes at Da Nonna Rosa on 7th Ave just opened up here: https://www.debbiebrukman.com/ Gifting the class also makes a great (and green!) gift!3 yr old singing class in Gowanus/Park slope?

Agreed! Debbie is the BEST!!Shout-out : Outdoor Music Class in Prospect Park
I just wanted to shout out Debbie Brukman's music class that is happening in Prospect Park or Zoom when the weather is below 40 degrees. Debbie was teaching amazing 0-5 year old music classes at Da Nonna Rosa Restaurant before the pandemic and has since moved to Zoom or Prospect Park. She has a brand new website and still has availability in her weekly classes but they are selling out! https://debbiebrukman.com/ Highly recommended!Spring outdoor music classes in Prospect Park
Welcome to the neighborhood. My neighbor Debbie Brukman does music classes for babies and toddlers in the park and on zoom when weather keeps us inside. The classes are really fun with participation from grown ups and kids. It’s socially distant and masked too. Closest to the GAP entrance. In person classes for M-W-F
Debbie's singalongs in the park (near GAP) are really sweet. It's $20 a class, about 30mins, and aimed at a mixed age group (although it's mostly 2s and under that turn up). I go with my 2 and 4 year old (siblings are free) on Tuesdays but she is there multiple times a week. Email her for availability if interested: debbiebrukman@gmail.comGroup music classes for babies in the park?
Debbie Brukman has been offering her music classes in prospect park. I used to take my son as a baby when she had classes indoors and we recently rejoined with the outdoor classes. It’s a nice mix of babies and toddlers. She has classes at different times and days through the week.Baby music classes in the park?
This is Debbie Brukman's amazing class. Debbie's class is now called "QuaranTUNES with Debbie." We love it! It is a Facebook live class from Brooklyn for Babies, Toddlers, and Pre-K humans, she also does weekly pop up socially distant classes in the park . We've been part of it since my son was months, now he'd 2.5 and listening to Debbie is the first thing he asks for every morning. If you're interested you can email Debbie at debbiebrukman@gmail.comOutdoor classes?

Fine, I'll chime in too! My son Bruce has also been going to Debbie's class for a year and is musically obsessed. Drums everywhere and on everything, sings all the time, dances up a storm. Signing up for this music class was the one thing my nanny asked for when we hired her, and we're so glad she did!"Gem of a Music Class" "Fun" "Creates Community"
Another endorsement here for Debbie’s music class. My girls look forward to it every week. We’ve been attendees for the past 2+ years, and it’s hands down the best singalong in the Slope. Debbie energetically leads the group with a giant repertoire of kid standards, and on occasion she sprinkles the set list with popular songs more familiar to parents and caregivers to accompany a good baby and toddler dance party. We can’t recommend it enough, and we can’t wait to come back for the fall."Gem of a Music Class" "Fun" "Creates Community"
My daughter and I have done this class for almost a year. We started when she was only a few months old and it has been such a highlight of each week. Debbie has created such a warm and welcoming environment in which the babies can explore music, instruments and movement. I really appreciate how much care Debbie takes with my daughter and also her boundless energy in our class!! We both leave happy every week! It’s also been wonderful because Debbie was very flexible with make ups which was super helpful due to my daughter’s ever changing schedule! I highly recommend this class!!"Gem of a Music Class" "Fun" "Creates Community"
Big shout out for Debbie’s class! My son started her class when he was 2 and I’m excited for my daughter, who is 7 months, to start this fall. Debbie’s class is great for all ages. She has lots of fun instruments for the older kids to shake and the babies to chew on :) We have tried a bunch of music classes (some have been totally weird) and this is by far the best and most reasonably priced. You and your kids will be singing the ‘what’s your name’ song all the time. Plus it’s at a pizza shop, so easy lunch that day!"Gem of a Music Class" "Fun" "Creates Community"
My son Liam and I have been a part of Debbie’s music community for the past year and are excited to continue with more classes this fall. Debbie creates a wonderful and nurturing musical atmosphere and she truly gets to know all of the kids, babies, parents and nannies alike. I only wish we would have found Debbie years ago when my older son was around for classes - but! Debbie is so cool to let older siblings join in if they are off from school for a holiday, so he has gotten to enjoy a couple of classes, too! Everyone wins!2018 Review
We've also been going to Debbie's class at Da Nonna Rosa with Grace (9 months). It can get a little crowded but Grace seems to really love it.[Winter2016Babies] Favorite toddler classes?
We're a big fan of debbie Brukman's music class which meets at da nonna rosa on 7th Ave and Garfield place. My older one went for the year and a half before he started school and now Ian goes with some of his little friends. She has sessions Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. been taking Debbie's class since my now 5 year old was a baby and in addition to it just being a cute and affordable class, I've made good friends through it! She has created a really nice community! Try Debbie Brukman’s music class at La Nonna Rosa. She is great with kids and the caregivers too, a very fun sing along class. She has classes Monday @ 10and 11, Weds@9:15, and Thurs a@ 9:30Re: [CP] "Fun Music Class" "Engaging" "My kid loves her"
I have to chime in on this thread as well. I have been taking Debbie's class since my 4 year old was a baby - and I now go with my almost 2 year old. I have made great friends in the class - and to echo what Noa said, it IS a real community. My not so shy 4 year old literally throws himself at Debbie when he sees her - and my very shy baby has chosen Debbie as one of the few adults she will actually go to and hug. The songs we sing in class are mostly ones you already know - so you don't have to learn a ton of random songs in order to participate - and while every class follows the same general pattern, each class is different and fun! This class is a park slope MUST!Re: [CP] "Fun Music Class" "Engaging" "My kid loves her"
Another voice from a parent who adores Debbie almost as much as her son does! Not only is it a terrific, fun, not-syrupy-sweet but often hip (without having to wear cool clothes) music class, Debbie has created real community in these 45 minutes. Moms, dads, grandparents and beloved babysitters rock out with the kids--it's unlike any music class I've been to. We keep coming...Re: [CP] "Fun Music Class" "Engaging" "My kid loves her"
Hi parents! I just saw the post for Debbie Brukman's music class and wanted to give her a shout out (no affiliation, my son just loves her). My older son has been going to Debbie's class since he was one and it's just terrific. She's super engaging and my son would talk about Debbie and sing the music all week long. She's very flexible about make ups and bringing along siblings. We're looking forward to attending again this winter with my little one!Re: Music Classes
It sounds like Debbie's class would be a great fit for you because it's great for all ages, reasonably priced (around $20/class) and the best part is that she doesn't charge for siblings! The class is a good mix of babysitters and parents - and I've made good friends through the class the past few years.Re: [CP] Debbie Brukman’s Fall Music Schedul e (kid s 0-4yrs) - Shout out from a happy mom
Debbie is a superstar!!! Both of our kids (one going to K this year, and another one who's 2) are absolutley in love with Debbie and have been going to her music classes since they were babies. Debbie has this unique down to earth attitude that just melts kids' hearts and makes even the most serious adults crack a smile. I second that, both of my daughters love her classes and love singing the songs at home! (Reviewed August 2015)e: [PSP] Re: [CP] Debbie Brukman’s Fall Music Schedule
Same here. Happy to attach a video of any of my 3 kids channeling their inner Debbie, but I am sure you would be bored. She is a warm and engaging music teacher who's impact is felt on each of the kids she meets. (Reviewed August 2015)Re: [PSP] Re: [CP] Debbie Brukman’s Fall Music Schedule
My daughters love Debbie. My 16 month old has taken several of her classes (and is signed up for the fall) and her face lights up when she sees Debbie. She knows all the songs, loves to dance and play with the instruments. I highly recommend the class. My older daughter knows her from school and loves singing with her too. She really gets kids. (Reviewed August 2015)Shout out: Awesome music class
We have been taking debbie brukman's music class at da nonna rosa (7th between carroll and Garfield) for the past year or so and its wonderful. It's good for babies up through 5 year olds and when older siblings are off school for the day and come to class, they even have fun! You don't have to learn new songs (some classes have their own music). There were definitely songs I learned in class - but the majority are the classic kids songs we grew up with. The best part is, it's reasonably priced [...] We have no affiliation other than being huge fans of Debbie and her class.Re: [CP] Debbie Brukman’s Fall Music Schedule (kids 0-4yrs)
Not really sure how much more I can add, except that Debbie's class is one of the few classes I think is actually underpriced. They are literally cheaper on a price per class basis than other music classes…and definitely superior. Debbie taught my older 2 children music at CBE's preschool and when she decided run toddler classes at da Nonna Rosa I was thrilled. I also love supporting both Debbie and a local restaurant that has always been welcoming to families with crazy kids. All in Debbie's classes are fun, low key and a great value. And she is a wonderful person. What more could we ask for in the neighborhood?Re: [CP] Debbie Brukman’s Fall Music Schedule (kids 0-4yrs)
Indeed, Debbie is a household name... It is amazing how a 45-minute music class with Debbie can last an entire week. My two year old daughter speaks about her all the time, singing songs that Debbie introduced her to.... Debbie is magnetic and children both love and learn from her. We are so fortunate that she is part of our community.Re: [CP] Debbie Brukman’s Fall Music Schedule (kids 0-4yrs)
I agree! My girls (now 2 and 4, the 2-year-old already signed up for fall) love Debbie's classes for both of our girls and really just love Debbie. This class is a constant in our schedule, and we are so lucky for that!Re: [CP] Debbie Brukman’s Fall Music Schedule (kids 0-4yrs)
I can't say enough wonderful things about Debbie's classes. My two older kids sang with her from infancy through preschool! She's really great, with an amazing flexibility and adaptability for participants but a warm, familiar structure that keeps kids engaged and entertained. No other affiliation - just a really, really happy and impressed mama who is looking forward to classes with Debbie again with kiddo #3!
