  • Review from the 2022 Summer Camp Survey

Location: Prospect Park How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 7-8 Review: We were there 3 weeks. Sometimes the weekly quest was exciting, sometimes it was fine. The weather is what affected the mood a lot. Some days, it was just about preventing heat stroke or finding shelter from the rain. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? Have an indoor space just in case (other than LeFrak, which was used as worse case scenario) Would you like to add anything related to COVID and how the camp handled it? The camp was amazing with COVID. During the height of the pandemic, it was all outside, masks on, social distancing was maintained. Perfect!

Location: Prospect Park How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 6 and 10 Review: Both my daughters LOVED this camp. The premise is that they are daughters of the goddesses and they are battling forces that are trying to destroy the goddesses. They were outside in the park all day (9-4) doing active games like "sword circle" and capture the flag. It seemed to be very collaborative as opposed to competitive. They came home every day happy and filthy Would you like to add anything related to COVID and how the camp handled it? Kids who weren't vaccinated were asked to show proof of a negative test on Monday, vaccinated kids were just asked to test and report positive results. They asked each kid how they felt in the morning. Since camp is all outside, it felt safe. My kids masked in the bathroom

Location: Prospect Park How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 9 Review: Daring Girls has such a creative approach to getting girls out in Prospect Park, with weekly mysteries to solve, scouting days, olympics, and quests. The girls learn about Greek and other mythologies, and most of all have FUN! (And they come home dirty and tired, as kids should in the summer!)
  • Review from the 2021 Summer Camp Survey

Name of camp: Daring Girls Location: Prospect Park How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 9 Review: This camp is AWESOME! My kid had a blast, and came home dirty and happily tired each day. I think the counselors have as much fun as the kids. They tie dyed shirts, made armor out of cardboard and duct tape, had lots of role playing, lots of park exploration, plus lots of live action role playing. My kid loved everything. It's a long day, but no complaints, which shows me that the counselors are really great at pacing the activities, taking breaks, reminding the kids to drink water (they say "hydrate, don't die-drate!) and spending the right amount of time on each activity Would you like to add anything related to COVID and how the camp handled it? Each kid had to present evidence of a negative covid test within 72 hours of the Monday of each camp week and everyone was masked
