ISO Suggestions on how to feed a large
I've gotten catering from Da Nonna Rosa and it was great!Re: Resources for Celiac
Da Nonna Rosa - a family member of one of the brothers who own the restaurant has celiac so they also have been consistently safe for us, GF pasta and pizza (and the pizza shell is also from an outside source and cooked on the tin), plus you can get sauteed spinach or roasted potatoes which are naturally GF as sides for your meal5 year old bday party
We did a 5th bday party at Da Nonna Rosa on 7th Ave. I highly recommend it! The space upstairs is big and you can bring in any entertainment. Plus, they are super helpful with everything and of course their pizza is great, too.Bat Mitzvah Venues/retaurants
And we also had a dinner Friday night for in-town family at Da Nonna Rosa which was an easy walk post services. They were very easy to work with - we ordered a variety of appetizers in advance and then gave people a choice for entrée.Bat Mitzvah Venues/retaurants
Depending on the size of your party, I would recommend Da Nonna Rosa. We had our daughter’s Bat Mitzvah party there and they were incredibly accommodating. We were able to decorate the room as we wished, had a DJ with dancing for the kids and it was a blast!! Anthony was agreeable to pretty much anything we asked!2020 Birthday Party Survey response

Nonna Rosa - the front of the upstairs would be perfect for this: danonnarosaparkslope@gmail.com (December 2019)ISO Baby music class
I can’t say enough good things about Debbie Bruckman’s music classes at Da Nonna Rosa. They include singing with products, drumming, parachute, and the most lovely community of people. Here is some info (Debbie can usually work things out of you start the class after the starting date) Molly (mom to two class grads who misses singing at Da Nonna Rosa) official blurb info: Debbie’s guitar playing music class is for babies and young kids and their caregivers. Siblings are always welcome. Watch your little one play, observe, sing, and move to Debbie’s guitar playing fun, with all kinds of instruments for little hands, scarves, drums, and parachute fun, and great tunes for kids and adults alike! Requests taken always taken, and new tunes mix with the classics. How do I register? Just email Debbiebrukman@gmail.comto reserve a spot. Da nona rosa (sorry for butchering the spelling) has a nice private room upstairs. I believe they're on seventh avenue between Garfield and Carroll. (November 2019)Looking for restaurant for large group
Nonna Rosa is good for just what you describe. Food is fine, not mind-blowing, and it's a great place to accommodate kids and all kinds of diets. (August 2019)space for b.day
I recently hosted a birthday party at the upstairs private space at Da Nona Rossa on 7th ave and they were awesome! Private bar and they are flexible with how they serve you (buffet, family style etc). Great service overall. If your group can navigate the stairs, you might check the upstairs space at Da Nonna Rosa on 7th Avenue.ISO: Pizza place for a birthday party
Da Nonna Rosa has two big rooms upstairs that do just this. Not cheap, but super easy.ISO: Pizza place for a birthday party
Da Nonna Rosa has a great upstairs room. I’ve used it many times and the owners are great. The only issue is the full flight of stairs that you need to negotiate.[PSPMO] Meeting spaces

My daughter has attended Bar/Bat Mitzvahs at Shapeshifter Lounge, The Brooklyn Navy Yard and upstairs at Da Nonna Rosa for a few more locations that haven't previously been mentioned.Re: 7th Ave Stores and Businesses you LOVE?
DaNonna is only place I go for pizza anymore unless its a slice at Pino's (bet 1st and 2nd).Back Shout out for Da Nonna Rosa
We had my niece's pre-Bat Mitzvah dinner in the upstairs party space at Da Nonna Rosa last weekend. It was awesome! They were incredibly easy to work with, the food was great, staff was calm, hard-working, and really good with all the disparate ages and needs of the guests. They worked with us on budget and menu and easily made changes with no fuss. Everyone had a great time and it was so nice to be in such a spacious, quiet and friendly space to reconnect as a family. I highly recommend it for your holiday eventsRe: ISo 1st birthday reccomendations
I 2nd Da nonna Rosa.We had a party there too and everything was perfectRe: ISo 1st birthday reccomendations
We had our daughter's first birthday at Da Nonna Rossa on 7th Ave and it turned out great. We reserved the upstairs front room and pre-ordered off the menu, had our own bartender, were able to control the music, and decorate with balloons etc. They were very easy to work with and accommodating due to last minute head count change.Gluten-free dining in NYC
And closer to home DaNonna has a good GF pizza although I think it is much better as eat in rather than takeout!Re: 1st Birthday Party venue
I highly recommend the upstairs room at Da Nonna Rosa. If you are hoping to cater something yourself, then try the upstairs room at The Old Stone House. We've done both and it depends on how much work you want to do on your own. For Old Stone House, we catered in food from a bagel store. They provide tables and chairs but you do the set up and clean up. It's very cheap to rent and a nice sized space. For Da Nonna Rosa, we just ordered several different pizzas and brought our own cake. We were able to negotiate a reasonable price and it's a big space so there is definitely room for the kids to run around. If you go, tell Lenny that I recommended them! On 2 separate occasions, they even agreed to be a back up space in case our outdoor party had bad weather. If someone had come to request the space, he would have called me to let me know so I could decide what I wanted to do. I didn't need the space, but it was great to know that I had a back up plan.Restaurant w private room?

Just had a great party this past weekend at Da Nonna Rosa in Park Slope 7th ave and Carroll. The food ,service and value are outstanding.(no subject)
We had my son's baptism reception there and it went really smoothly. We pre-paid food/wine/beer. Ours was a sit-down. They have a separate room upstairs with a bar. I'm sure they will accommodate whatever you want. They are very easy going.(no subject)
I highly recommend the party space at Da Nonna Rosa in N. Slope. They have a great upstairs space (that holds up to 80 people) with a DVD player for slide shows etc. There is no room rental fee. They are reasonably priced and have great food (Italian) and the partners: Franko and Lenny couldn't be more accommodating and easy to work with. (They ordered our cake from their baker so I didn't have to deal with delivery and they cut it with no "plate fee".) The only setbacks were: they had to set up a make-shift changing table b/c there's no changing station in the bathrooms which was totally no big deal and you have to carry strollers up one flight of stairs (or leave on ground level) also no big deal but wanted to mention it.(no subject)
I wanted to share the excellent experience I had this past weekend at Da Nonna Rosa on 7th Ave in Park Slope. This past weekend I held a surprise birthday party for my husband in the private rooms upstairs. Right from the start owners Franco and Lenny were very easy to work with and flexible with all my requests. They have several reasonable packages to choose from which are easily adjustable to your needs. During the party the service was beyond excellent and all my guests raved about the food and drinks. I would have another party here in a heartbeat ! The service, food and value is incomparable. BTW the steak pizzaiola is out of this world, luckily they gave me some to take home. I have no affiliation other than a very satisfied customer. September 2012(no subject)
Re: Dinner for 14 in Bklyn? How about Da Nonna Rosa on 7th Avenue near Garfield? They might accommodate you in the main dining area, or they have a private space upstairs. Not fancy, but family-friendly Italian, with good food. (March 2012)(no subject)
I had my 40th upstairs at Da Nonna Rossa (it was Elementi at the time). It's a nice big room. Food is good. On 7th near Garfield. (March 2012)2012 Birthday Party Survey

LIKES: Staff was great as hosts. See above as well regarding the space and food. they allowed me to bring my own cupcakes and decorations to make the party more personal and special for my daughter. Also we hired a fantastic entertainer who did a puppet show and made balloon animals for the kids. What you'd change: Nothing Do you recommend (High Rec, Rec, Rec w/ Reservations, Do Not Rec)? LIKES: The owner and the staff were great. They set up a buffet style table and just kept bringing out different types of pizzas and salads for everyone to enjoy. The let us bring in our own cake and they cut it up and served it without additional extra charge. There was also no pressure to get out when the time was up. What you'd change: Nothing...it was really great and I would definitely use this space again. Do you recommend (High Rec, Rec, Rec w/ Reservations, Do Not Rec)? Highly Recommend(no subject)
I have no affiliation with this restaurant, but I just wanted to give a "shout out." We have gone there a couple of times with the kids, and it was great! The food reminds me of Peppino's on 5th Avenue -- just terrific, home-cooked Italian food -- and it is very kid-friendly. Nice addition to the neighborhood.(no subject)
We just had a baby naming at Da Nonna Rosa on Sunday and they did a wonderful job. The room is a nice size and the service was wonderful. Lenny, the owner, was very accommodating and the cost was reasonable.
