Sauna and/or Steam room?Only one I have come across in the neighborhood is at d'Mai Urban Spa on 5th avenue. It is an electric sauna and you have access to it if you book a service with them. I don't know if you can just use it on your own.
Review submitted via the Park Slope Parents 2017 Birth SurveyYinova center for acupuncture and d’mai spa (Karen) for prenatal massage were both great. Based on a October 2017 birth
Re: Great Massage therapist at Dmai?Alex at D’mai is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend!
[October2017Babies] Prenatal Massage in Park Slope?I'm loving D'Mai spa on 5th avenue. Amazing.
Re: FACIAL RECOMMENDATIONLisa at Dumai! Just went there... Amazing.
Re: FACIAL RECOMMENDATIONI really like Lisa at D'Mai Urban Spa!
Thanks and Summary: Massage parlor or cheap massage?I've also had a few good massages at d'Mai Spa and Bliss -- as Mother's Day gifts from my family. Those places are pristine and beautiful and it's a real treat to go there — luxurious and pampering and wonderful service. But the massage itself have never been much better than the Qi Gong places, for my purposes.Good luck!
Re: Waxing RecommendationI go to DMai Spa. Irene does my eyebrows. It's a bit pricey compare to nail salons that does waxing but its clean, shaped nicely and more importantly my eyebrows are even shape ;)
Re: iso recommendation for great masseuse in park slopeRichard at D'mai urban spa -- amazing.
Prenatal Massage Recommendations NeededI highly recommend Karen at D'Mai Urban Spa on 5th Ave. She worked wonders for me in the last trimester!
Recs for a great massage after marathon? My hubby ran last year and ppl suggested D'Mai Urban Spa. He got a great massage and they do marathon specials!
(no subject)We really like D'Mai Urban Spa, on 5th avenue between Lincoln and St. John. It's a very attractive and serene place, with great massage therapists (they offer other services, but I haven't tried them, though I know people who have really liked their pedicures), very nice staff, and they have a sauna for relaxing after treatments. Definitely a cut above some of the other local places I've tried that offer good massages, but don't have the space or amenities to provide a real spa experience.
(no subject)I am in desperate need of a facial, but being on a sabbatical, am low on funds. I usually go to D'Mai Urban Spa, who I consider to be a bit on the expensive side, but totally worth it.
(no subject)Looking for a nice day spa? In Brooklyn – D’Mai is quite lovely
(no subject)I LOVED the facial I got there with Irina. I bought a groupon after hearing all my friends in Park Slope say that was THE place to go. I've been getting facials since I started college -- Georgette Klinger, Mario Badescu. This was better than most. Plus, you get to hang out in the spa. Who knew they had a huge spa back there! I can't wait to go back.
(no subject)I ADORE D'mai as well. I have been a regular since they opened. Great service, great facility. I have been all over NYC on my quest for Spa experiences, and I keep coming back here.
