Now you can register for Fall 2016 classes in two Brooklyn locations: downtown Brooklyn and Williamsburg!
Uhuru with Olatunji Ojore (Free and Creative Movement) at Brooklyn Ballet (downtown Brooklyn)
For ages 1-2: Mondays from 10:30-11:15am
For ages 2-4: Fridays from 10:30-11:15am
Uhuru (the Kiswahili word for “freedom”) is a series of creative movement classes featuring a combination of song, dance, and play – designed to ignite children’s creative voices and nurture their freedom of expression. Olatunji is proud to continue Jamie Philbert’s signature pedagogy and help build a foundation for a life-long creative practice.
This is a lively class for toddlers who are comfortable on their feet, featuring games, interactive stories, and dance, drum, and song sequences. Parent/guardian participation is required.
For ages 1-2, class includes 35 minutes of instruction and 10 minutes of free play.
DATES: September 19 – December 16
(Make-Up Week is December 19-23)
There is no class on these holidays:
Monday, October 10 (Columbus Day)
Friday, November 25 (Thanksgiving Week)
PRICE: $195 for the entire semester
Drop-in rate: $17 per class (we recommend registering in advance to save your spot).
