  • Recommendations for breast and plastic surgeons

I had a skin sparing mastectomy 8 years ago. I absolutely love my plastic surgeon. She is a teaching prof at Nyu and has her own private practice midtown. Her specialty is breast reconstruction. And her office is great helping with insurance issues. Her name is Christina Ahn 212 717 8860. I had a special procedure where they take tissue from one part of your body with a source of blood supply and place it in your breast. Rather than silicone implants this is a permanent solution and feels perfectly usual. They usually take tissue from your abdomen so you get a tummy tuck in the process. Anyway she can do whatever you would like but she does work with the doctors who perfected this procedure. I am happy to talk with you about this or anything else around the mastectomy in general. Christina Ahn is a lovely person. She came to me in the Prep room, put her arm around me and walked me to the operating room and held my hand and talked with me until I was out.
