- Review from the 2020 Birthing Experience SurveyTymaree and Colleen work as a pair, so we had all of our pre-birth appointments with both of them. Tymaree was with me in the hospital for delivery and Colleen came for my post-partum appointment. I found them both to be so warm and knowledgeable - I felt like I had a solid team that I could turn to for questions and advice. Tymaree was fantastic in labor, she kept me calm during contractions and was crucial when I was pushing. I absolutely recommend them both!
- Review from the 2020 Birthing Experience SurveyChloe and Tymaree are both great; very knowledgeable and compassionate women who go out of their way to care for their clients. Chloe was on call when I went into labor, so she attended our birth. Although she was about to graduate from midwifery school herself, Chloe stuck to playing her role as doula during our birth and let our midwife do all the medical stuff. Chloe has a warm, witty, and relaxed vibe that instantly put me at ease; I felt that I could let go and completely trust her judgement—which is exactly what you want when you're giving birth!! Chloe and Tymaree visited us several times during my pregnancy and took a lot of time via email addressing our follow-up questions and requests for info. Much of the birth experience itself has become a bit of a blur for me, but I distinctly remember squeezing Chloe's hand to the crushing point several times during contractions, and she took it stoically :) She also helped a lot after the birth: making us smoothies in the middle of the night (and remembering that my husband is vegan, so she left out the yogurt!); waiting patiently for me to take my first pee after the baby was out (which took a long time and involved her running the shower for encouragement!); and cleaning EVERYTHING up seamlessly (including starting a load of laundry) so that we could just catch our breath, enjoy our baby, and know that we could start the next day without a mess of towels and dishes everywhere. We would recommend Chloe to anyone... but I am now remembering/thinking that she has moved on to doing only midwife work! It looks like Tymaree is still a doula, though, and we would recommend her without reservation, too.
- Based on a 2014 Birthing ExperienceMember Review: Chloe Campbell was my main doula with Madeline Peikes as the back-up. Both attended pre-natal and postpartum visits. Chloe attended my birth, which was a planned home birth that ended up in the hospital in the final moment. My labor lasted for three days and Chloe was a great support. She has a soft, tender style, which is often lovely, but if you want a doula who is more directive, she would not be a good choice. Chloe is also an herbalist and gave me great herbal as well as emotional support during a very long labor. She came postpartum with herbal remedies to my extreme anemia and an herbal sits bath.
