Location: Chelsea Piers How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 5.5 Review: Well organized, professional. My son enjoyed getting to use various CP facilities (bowling, gymnastics) in addition to ice skating. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? It's expensive

Location: Prospect Heights How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 7 Review: This camp was amazing! My child loved all of the activities, and came home smiling every day. I appreciated how organized and upbeat the counselors and coaches were, I felt very confident that my child was safe and well taken care of. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? My child brought their own lunch everyday because he is very concerned about eating organic (!). They offer lunch every day, but it would be great to have organic options AND to have a more specific listing of the lunch options. They had a sample menu in the website, but didn’t give details in what was served daily.

Location: 601 Dean St How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 7 and 4.5 Review: I have two kids, 4.5 year old was at Junior camp and 7 year old at full day camp. Overall, the camp is well organized and fully staffed. Brand new facilities with a variety of sports activities. They provide lunch to full day campers and my older kid loves the food option though he complained that he was denied request for more foods. The pool was overtreated with chemicals but it got improved since then. No fresh air and sunshine is the biggest con and we may not return next year because of it. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? Bring kids to outdoors for at least 2 hours a day
  • 2018 Summer Camp Reviews

The camp is super well organized AND my son enjoys it. Such a rare combination, I find... My kid loves to play the sport and appreciates the facilities and the counselors with whom he can pal around. I appreciate that lunch is included and the "regular" day is 8:30-4/4:30. After care is available until 6:30, making this a great option for working parents in Manhattan. The worst part about the camp is the commute which is a PITA. Driving is an option but parking is more expensive than a cab. And who wants to add $500 a week in cab fare?? So, we suck up the M23 bus or walk from 14th and 8th. Worth it, but maybe not for the entire summer, just a few weeks. Age of child: 11 What would you change about the program, if anything? Location, but I can't change it!!
  • Re: Gymnastics for 5yr old

My daughter, who was 5 when she started, went to the Little Gym in Cobble Hill. She has been to Chelsea Piers for many Gymnastic camp sessions so the bar was set very high but she absolutely loved it, learned a lot and can now do a perfect cartwheel. She is already signed up for the fall.
