Recurrent miscarriages
I'm so sorry you are going through this. I did IVF (not for recurrent miscarriage but for another reason) at CCRM and would recommend at least having an initial meeting with them if you haven't already. I saw Dr. Knopman but all the doctors are fantastic.Fertility clinic advice
I've done cycles at RMA (Dr. Flisser), NYU (Drs. Berkeley and Keefe) and CCRM (Dr. Talebian). I've also interviewed with Weill Cornell (Dr. Chung). All are considered centers of excellence and set the standard in IVF, and I would highly recommend any of those doctors. RMA, NYU and Weill Cornell are high volume, and tend to feel a bit like a factory, but if you're paying out of pocket, they're probably your best bet. If money isn't an object or if you have Progyny insurance, CCRM is excellent and they provide a great experience. FertilityIQ.com provides ratings and reviews of all IVF doctors and clinics, so that's a good place to start.Reproductive endocrinologist recs in Brooklyn
You can monitor with RMA in Brooklyn, but I personally wasn't super happy with RMA (long wait times, lots of clerical errors, had to follow up with nurses multiple times) and ended up switching to CCRM in midtown. It was like night and day - minimal wait, super responsive nurses, ultimately resulted in a pregnancy.IVF in 40s, donor eggs etc
What I wish I had known at the beginning of my grueling IVF journey (9 egg retrievals!) is that more than the doctors or protocols, what made the world of difference for me was the lab my embryos were grown in. I started at Cornell and though I made lots of eggs, they would all arrest after being fertilized within a day or two. It wasn’t until well into being there (and after my Cornell doctor told me I had no choice but to go the donor route) that someone told me maybe my eggs would do something different if they were put in a different environment. I switched to CCRM (in NY) and from my very first cycle there I not only made 2 blastocysts, but they tested normal - and my protocol was virtually identical to what it had been at Cornell. I went on to do a few more cycles at CCRM to try to bank more embryos and at age 40 and 41 got two more normals. I know this is just anecdotal but being that you make a great number of eggs and have great insurance coverage, I’d think about switching clinics in order to work with a different LAB. My RE at CCRM was Dr. Sheeva Talebian who I absolutely adored.Doctor recommendations for multiple miscarriages
I then went to Dr Shiva Talebian at CCRM who was AMAZING but they don’t accept insurance.Fertility Clinics or Specialist recomendations?
I highly recommend Dr Sheeva Talebian at CCRM. She is lovely and brilliant and got me pregnant twice - once at 40 and again at 42! https://www.ccrmivf.com/new-york/2018 Review
