  • 2019 Summer Camp Review

This is our daughter's 3rd summer at Sprout Lake and for sure it will not be her last. She waits all year for these 3.5 weeks at sleepaway camp. When we bring her there she runs out to the ballfields and screams for joy. No joke. This is a truly wonderful place. The staff create a supportive, engaging, fun, challenging, team building environment and a positive Jewish experience. Its the kind of place where your kid comes back with new skills, new stories, new friendships, new perspectives, a whole lotta newfound independence --- and also loving all things about being Jewish. We really love this camp and can't recommend it strongly enough. What would you change? That they start an adult camp we can go to in parallel :-)

It was my daughter's first time at sleep away camp, she went for two weeks and loved it. The counselors are all former campers and have a very strong connection to the camp. They build a wonderful community. She had an amazing experience.

Age of child: Age 8-11 Summer 2018 Review: Warm, nurturing, fostered a strong community, offered many options for activities. Was not so far away, that we would drive and pick up. Offers multiple options for duration, like a short 1 or 2 week taste of camp for younger kids. She is building friendships that will last her a lifetime.

Summer 2018 Review: Our daughter's second summer at Sprout Lake. She started at Sprout BKN for day camp and "graduated" to the sleepaway camp near Poughkeepsie when she was 9. They do a great job of offering a well rounded experience with just enough and not too much Jewish focus. We can't say enough about this place. She loves being there, hates to go home. Age of child: 10
