  Location: Merrill, NY REVIEW: Amazing sleepaway camp that provides a robust offering of activities including sports, arts and crafts, robotics, team building exercises. This camp is very good about fostering independence, camaraderie, friendship, and self confidence. I appreciate that this camp offers a 3.5 week option for those who are not ready to commit to a full summer quite yet. The staff is great at creating a memorable experience for my child who tried different things he would not have done otherwise. I also appreciate that their start date is end of June, so I don't have to pull my kid out of school too early. My kid came back wanting to return for the entire summer. Set in a beautiful area, Chateaugay sits on its own private lakefront with its own ropes course, lake activities, swimming pool, horseback riding, multiple sports fields to name a few. The owners who are Park Slope residents are very communicative and amenable to answering any questions. CHANGES: Not a thing DETAILS: Age of child; 9 … Weeks attended: 3.5

  Location: Merrill, NY How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 8 Review: He loved this camp! Many activities, counselor to camper ratio was small, and made new friends. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? Too early to say. Right now nothing. We're happy to return next summer. Would you like to add anything related to COVID and how the camp handled it? No - COVID precautions were put in place such as Vaccination requirements. other than that I'm so glad camp was back to normal.
