Description
Camp Ballibay is a true haven for young people with a love for the arts, and a perfect choice for families seeking a safe, friendly, and creative arts camp for their kids to explore the visual arts, dance, theater, or rock music. We offer deep, engaging programs for young artists at all levels in a traditional summer arts camp setting. Young artists ages 8-16 come from all over North and South America, Europe, and Asia to spend 2-7 weeks on our pristine mountaintop campus in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Established in 1964, we have a long history as a diverse, tolerant, and safe camp for creative kids. Since 2011 we've been the #1-rated arts camp in North America.

Review from the 2024 Summer Camp Survey
Location: Pennsylvania REVIEW: Wow did we not like this camp. It was perfect on paper (and we had a great time at the meet and greet) but the actual camp was really not for us - very privileged kids, lots of mean girls ("A Cabin of Regina Georges" is what my kid said) and unresponsive staff when dealing with the problem - my kid was truly unhappy. I know this camp has been so good for so many PSP folks but for us it was an expensive miss. CHANGES: DETAILS: Age of child; 12 … Weeks attended: 2Review from the 2022 Summer Camp Survey
Location: Wyalusing, PA How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 13 Review: My child has been to a classical/generalist camp the last 2 summers. This past summer, we added Ballibay which fit her description of her dream camp. It's a camp for artists of all kind. They create their own schedule each day. The food is amazing. Take a look at their website. There are plenty of videos that describe the camp better than I can. We have already registered for next year. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? It would be nice to receive more photos. They post on IG and have a FB parent group. I have given the camp this feedback that it would be nice to have a secure, private way to consistently send photos to parents which they received and are reflecting on. But this is a parent thing, and no reflection of the camp. In theory, I like that they are more unplugged, but in practice, I miss seeing my kid! :) Would you like to add anything related to COVID and how the camp handled it? The camp was very vigilant re Covid. Vaccines required, no parents on campus, masks for the first few days of each new session.Sleepaway camps… how are they going?
Shout out for Camp Ballibay. My artsy daughter is there for her second year. No sports, all arts.Summer camp recos
I highly recommended Camp Ballibay. I’ll be hosting a pot luck in the new year. Check out their website. Email me if you have any questions. (December 2019)2012 Summer Camp Survey
Program: Fine and Performing Arts Age of Child: 9 Likes: My daughter, entering fifth grade, loved everything about this camp-- it offers a large range of options to learn new skills, do horseback riding, swimming, canoeing, participate in dance and theater offerings, etc. It is all personal choice but the kids also have down time with their bunkmates and develop friendships within the bunk and around the camp based on shared interests and passions. My daughter learned to do pottery, guitar and tap dancing, performed in a jazz dance piece, had a role in a musical and learned to trot on a horse. It is a relatively small camp (I think 150 campers maximum per session) so everyone gets to know everybody else and it seems to have a very warm, supportive atmosphere. What would you change? Would you send your child(ren) again? Yes Do you recommend? Highly recommend
