PhotographerI highly recommend Brooklyn Photography for any family or baby photos! Anita was a pleasure to work with and made my entire family feel comfortable during the shoot in our home. She was even great with our dog and was patient enough to include him in the photos. It can be really challenging to shoot a 6 week old, a dog and 2 sleep deprived adults but Anita did so effortlessly. She worked with the different moods of my baby and captured so many great moments. We love how beautiful and natural the photos came out! We will definitely use Brooklyn Photography again.

photographer reviewWe are new to the board and first time parents. We want to share our experience with Brooklyn Photography and Anita Maffei with anyone looking for a baby photographer. Anita was an absolute pleasure to work with. She asked us for the style we would like and even commented on photos we already had up in our home, ensuring that she provided a similar look and feel. She was incredibly gentle with our daughter (who is only 9 days old) and paid very careful attention to every detail. Her website depicts her incredible work, but getting to have her in our home, chat with her and see her in action is something that her great photos can't describe. When we received the final photos, we had a hard time deciding which ones to order, as so many of them truly captured our new family in our element. We can't wait to put these new photos up around our home, and to another time that we can call on Anita.

Shoutout for local photographer, Anita MaffeiIf anyone is looking for a fantastic photographer - for product shots, family pictures, headshots, etc - I highly recommend Anita Maffei. We worked together on my last handbag collection and she shot a series of product and lifestyle shots in different Brooklyn neighborhoods. She has the magic touch when it comes to getting the perfect lighting and the right angles. She's also very easy to work with! If anyone wants to see the pictures from that shoot, please contact me. ISO Newborn photographer in Park Slope or surrounding areas..I can speak to the quality of her work. We did a shoot with her with our newborn and toddler and she took some beautiful shots Was easy to work with and got the photos to me very quickly which was very appreciated since we did it around the holidays. (Reviewed March 2015)

Shout out for Family Photographer Anita MaffeiI just wanted to second this recommendation for Anita Maffei! Anita took family photos of us last year for Father's Day - a terrific idea for the holiday. Anita was really creative and we got some very sweet photos. She is not the type to take a zillion pictures, but rather careful and calm in order (I think) to let the natural spirit of the family come through. She's a professional and has lots of good suggestions and ideas for shots that will work, but was also willing to freestyle with some ideas we had. We highly recommend Anita!

Shout out for Family Photographer Anita MaffeiI recently had some photographs taken of my family by Anita Maffei. Full disclosure, I have known Anita from the parenting scene for a few years now. But my photographs - and experience with her as a photographer - were excellent and I thought I would share. Anita was very flexible. I think you have to be with babies, but she understood the general nature of babies, and was open to working at the right time, and worked quickly She did a good job juggling keeping a baby/kid engaged while taking the photographs. This is a lot of work and she got great expressions out of the kids. The moments she captured were beautiful. I'm a photographer, too (of spaces, not people) and I know that getting the right moment with the right expression can be difficult. She had lots of props and lots of posing ideas. Lots of creativity with the lighting and made sure we got the shots we wanted. She turned the photographs, and the resulting prints, around quickly and with professionalism. They were beautifully retouched. in all, she was professional, quick, very skilled, and fun to work with. And her rate is comparable pretty affordable. I am really glad I had her take photos. I keep thinking I'm going to get to them myself and it never happens - meanwhile, the kids are getting older!
