Brooklyn Free School in Clinton Hill. full disclosure, my 13 yr old daughter goes there and loves it. We came there after public school did not work out for her due to executive functioning and anxiety issues. The workload is very manageable and the kids definitely develop their social skills. It's a very supportive and loving environment. I've seen lots of kids "damaged" from traditional schools flourish there.
