Parents Night Out options
Brooklyn Boulders have an excellent program once in 2 weeks for parents night out ! It is 6-10 pm with pizza/ movie and rock climbing for kids. $75.brooklyn boulders day camp
My kid loves to climb and Brooklyn Boulders is his second. He’s been in camp there for three years and is now on the climbing team. I have no concerns. When the kids start on bouldering (low climbing with no ropes), they start by teaching them how to fall properly (onto really thick pads). They also emphasize safety and show them how to walk around the gym. Finally, they break the campers down into small groups so the counselors have a manageable numbers, and there are a ton of extra staff on hand who keep an eye out as well. My kids climbs hard, multiple times a week, he has fallen a million times and he’s never had anything worse than his knee bumping into his head once on a wonky fall, which hurt for two minutes. Climbing is inherently risky, but I trust BB. I also trust my kid to follow directions, which is important. If he wasn’t a kid who listened to grownups, I might feel differently.brooklyn boulders day camp
My daughter went to day camp there at the beginning of the summer. She really loved it. I personally didn’t have any safety concerns and I’m generally a more conservative parent in terms of risk. Felt like she was in good hands.ISO: Climbing summer camp for kids in Brooklyn?
Brooklyn Boulders/Bouldering Project is definitely running weekly camps in Gowanus this summer. My son (age 6) has done some of their vacation camps and loved them. From what I can gather from him, they do various kinds of climbing, have lunch in the playground across the street and run around there and do a STEAM activity.Review from the 2021 Summer Camp Survey
Name of camp: Brooklyn Boulders Summer Adventure Location: Gowanus How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 6 Review: It was just one week long, which was a wonderful option for coverage, and just long enough for my child to enjoy. They seemed done with the program after the one week. I wasn't sure if they were going to like it, they are a bit afraid of heights, but they came home happy and laughing about the activities they played.RESOLUTION: Business credit/promotion advice
I’m so glad to hear that - and I’m not surprised. Brooklyn Boulders has always been really wonderful to our community. We had a similar situation and they not only quickly resolved it but also generously donated items for our school silent auction. Thank you for following up!RESOLUTION: Business credit/promotion advice
Thanks to everyone who messaged me with suggestions and sympathy! I'm really happy to report that we've been able to resolve this with Brooklyn Boulders. Their employees were thoughtful and attentive, and they worked with us to find a solution for the credit that worked for us. My experience is so often the opposite-- that the company couldn't care less-- so this stands out as an excellent business practice. Kudos to them!2018 Summer Camp Reviews
Age of child: 12 Summer 2018 Review: This is a camp my son returns to every summer. He has learned a lot of climbing techniques. They also take the kids outside for lunch and let them run around in the playground across the street.Review from the 2017 PSP Summer Camp Survey
My son loves to climb. He went to BKB as part of his afterschool program in 6th grade and attended summer camp two years ago. The staff are very friendly and helpful and he improved his climbing skills. He likes going to the park across the street for lunch and having a chance to play outdoors. He made new friends easily. If you could change anything, what would it be? n/a Age of child: 11 Based on a Summer 2017 experienceReview from Kids Birthday and Bar/Bat Mitzvah Party Survey - 2016

Camp Brooklyn boulders DeGraw/3rd ave Day Care or Sleep Away-- Day camp Program: Summer adventure week Age of Child: 6 Likes: It was a great atmosphere, great instructors. The kids spent most of the day on the climbing wall so they built confidence and a solid skill set quickly. We ended up having to do the extended day - i was worried it might be too much but I couldn't get my son out of there even at 6pm! What would you change? Nothing Would you send your child(ren) again? LIKES: The staff belayers were terrific with the kids. We had three staff members for 12 children so all of the kids had plenty of climbing time. What you'd change: It appears you can now book your party online, which was not an option when I booked this party. That seems like it should make booking easier -- under the old process you wound up emailing back and forth with the party coordinator and then booking with the front desk by phone. My only complaint is when we arrived the tables and chairs had not been set up in the party room. This meant that we were busy setting up as our guests arrived. Not a huge deal, but it would have been more relaxing as the hosts to have the set-up all done before the party started. All in all we were happy with the party and the kids had a blast. Do you recommend (High Rec, Rec, Rec w/ Reservations, Do Not Rec)? Recommend(no subject)
My daughter isn't sporty but really enjoyed taking 3 of her friends to Brooklyn Boulders for her 9th birthday. One of her guests was 6 and had a good time too.(no subject)
Brooklyn Boulders! Fantastic and huge indoor rock climbing facility that will take your kids on a day to day and even last minute basis. They even have after care (more climbing and sometimes your kid may be the only one there so it's like a private climbing session!) til 6 pm for just an extra $10. Provides snacks and is super fun. Great, energetic staff, always enough trained climber counselors no matter the group size. My daughter goes all the time. They also give sibling discounts.
