  • Best place to buy houseplants?

I have gone to The Sill (they several locations and a new one in Brooklyn), Home Sprout (in Williamsburg), and The Brooklyn Botanic Garden are my go to stores.
  • Alternatives to music class & full time 2’s?

I did the BBG Trees & Saplings class with my son a few years ago. It may have changed since then but I found it really rushed and a bit disorganized. The kids only got a few minutes to actually work in the garden, we spent more of the class doing Circle Time or making snack. It was fine, but not something I would highly recommend.
  • PSP Moderator Note

BBG is used by our Baby and Specialty Groups for meet-ups, especially during Free Tuesdays.

Seeds Location - BBG How old is your child? (or the age when he/she attended camp) Age: - 5 What did you/your child like about the summer camp? My daughters attended this program for two sessions this summer and learned so much about plants, vegetables, cooking. It's a very relaxed program that is not marketed as a summer camp but provides loads of time outdoors, different activities each day, and the kids come home after class with tons of things that they've "harvested." They made friends in the class, had great instructors, and learned a lot. I loved it because it gave some structure to the week but was very part time (9-12, wed and fri) so we were able to do other activities during the week together. What would you change about the program? It would be nice to have a 3 day/week option and if the children explored more of the bbg. Will you send your child back to this summer camp program next year? (Or would you if you could?) Yes Would you recommend this program to other parents for their child in the future? Highly recommend
