  • Re: ISO Prenatal Acupuncture in Brooklyn

I also went to Brooklyn Acupuncture Project (commuted from Fort Greene/Boerum Hill) at the recommendation of my doula, and thought the practitioners were incredibly kind and helpful.
  • Re: ISO Prenatal Acupuncture in Brooklyn

I had pretty bad migraines in my first trimester even though I didn’t usually have headaches before I was pregnant. I saw Carolyn Kweon at the Brooklyn Acupuncture Project because they specialize in women’s and GYN issues. Plus, BAP has sliding scale options.
  • Acupuncturist specializing in fertility

Stephanie Destina at Brooklyn Acupuncture Project https://www.brooklynacupunctureproject.com She is wonderful (and affordable)!
  • ISO acupuncturist - community kind

Brooklyn Acupuncture Project is fantastic and affordable, especially if you are able to purchase a package. They offer two tiers of sliding scale.
  • ISO acupuncturist - community kind

Brooklyn Acupuncture Project is amazing. It’s on 7th Street. Amazing mission, so much more affordable than any other options and fantastic acupuncturists. I’ve been going to them for years ; they saw me through two high - risk pregnancies. I just can’t say enough good things - I prefer the practice to any full fee options I’ve tried simply on my experience of the care and expertise of the team there.
  • Review from the Summer 2022 Birthing Survey

See Stephanie Destina for labor induction techniques.
  • ISO: Community Acupuncture?!

I really like BAP- Brooklyn acupuncture project. 3rd ave/13 st Sliding scale.
  • Review from the 2020 Birthing Experience Survey

I did acupuncture at the Brooklyn Acupuncture Project in the last month of pregnancy. This was one of the best things I did.
  • Acupuncture

I second brooklyn acupuncture project. My insurance doesn’t cover acupuncture, but their sliding scale makes it very doable since you really need to go once a week or so at the beginning. I’ve had acupuncture over the years for handful of different ailments and it makes such a difference if you actually go regularly! Its community acupuncture, but they do a good job of keeping a quiet environment with lots of white noise and soothing music.
  • Acupuncture

Brooklyn Acupuncture Project is pretty good. Their fees are sliding scale. 3rd Ave and 13th St-ish.
  • ISO brooklyn acupuncture reco

I have had great experience with Brooklyn Acupuncture Project. Everyone is kind, smart and the services are low fee.
  • Acupuncturist for labor induction

The therapists at Brooklyn Acupuncture Project are great, and the treatments were very relaxing and helped with my intense swelling. I had five treatments over a two week period, but they ultimately didn't work for induction. My son had the cord wrapped around him and wasn't going to drop no matter what we tried!
  • Acupuncturist for labor induction

I whole heartedly second Brooklyn Acupuncture Project- in particular Alexandra Garcia. While very good with all issues, she specializes in pre-natal to post pardum issues, and among many things I saw her while I was pregnant and trying to avoid induction. She is also a really reassuring and kind presence. I highly highly recommend her!
  • Acupuncturist for labor induction

Brooklyn Acupuncture Project in Gowanus is wonderful. Had two treatments in a row and went into labor 6 hours after the second one, the day before my due date. I had a really long induction with my first and really just wanted to go into labor on my own with my second. I was already dilated 3cm and 70% effaced. It only works if you are already primed to go, if you will...worth it just for the relaxation and feeling like you are doing something to pass the interminable time until your baby gets here though.
  • Acupuncture Recs

I third Alexandra Garcia— amazing energy, calm presence, supportive and kind and attentive
  • Acupuncture Recs

I second Alexandra Garcia at Brooklyn Acupuncture Project. She is amazing- both her presence and her work. I highly recommend!!
  • Acupuncture Recs

I saw two acupuncturists pre pregnancy throughout pregnancy and they worked together sharing notes as they know each other. Lyndsay Von Miller is fantastic - she has a practice in Manhattan now at Bleeker Street Wellness. https://www.bleeckerstreetwellness.com Dr. Lyndsay von Miller, DACM, L.Ac. Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Licensed Acupuncturist Board Certified Herbalist vonmilleracupuncture.com drvonmiller@gmail.com I believe she was working to get set up with an insurance company but not sure if that happened yet. i also saw Alexandra Garcia and she is wonderful! She is at Brooklyn acupuncture project and their payment is on a sliding scale. both ladies specialize in prenatal care but can address a wide range of issue not pregnancy related as well!
  • [January2018Babies] Accupuncture Rec?

I currently go to the Brooklyn Acupuncture Project in the Gowanus on 3rd Ave and 12th Street. It’s wonderful there.

  • Re: Acupuncture

I had a great experience at Brooklyn Acupuncture Project on 13th St and 4th Ave. I went for pregnancy related back pain - you make appts online, so check them out. Very nice staff and affordable
  • Review submitted via the 2014 Birthing Survey

Based on a 2014 Birthing Experience Comment: Member Review: they are amazing for pre-natal and post-natal work. i went when i thought i was in the early stages of labor and they were so fabulous. i attribute it to why things went so smoothly and fast :)
  • Re: Brooklyn Acupuncture project - reccs?

I LOVE Jennifer Sawyer. She has been treating me for months there and is so wonderful.
  • Re: Brooklyn Acupuncture project - reccs?

I love Sarah Chase, the founder! But they are all great!
  • Does anyone know a good place for Acupuncture in Park Slope?

The Brooklyn Acupuncture Project is pretty good and it is sliding scale. So far, it has done me a lot of good. I love Reza. Happy healing (can't believe I just said that...)
  • Does anyone know a good place for Acupuncture in Park Slope?

I would definitely recommend the Brooklyn Acupuncture Project. They are in Gowanus around 3rd Ave and 12th St. There are many talented practitioners there, and it is "pay as much as you are able" clinic. I worked with Kerry and she was terrific.
  • Acupuncturist

I also 2nd acupuncture project. They are great and offer a great affordable service.
  • Acupuncturist

The Brooklyn Acupuncture Project! they're at 12th st and 3rd ave. They're sliding scale and have a number of great practitioners. You can DEF go there for induction. And if this Po-Hong mentioned in Fiona's email is the same one as at BAP (I'm guessing so - or else there are coincidentally a few acupuncturists named Po-Hong around here) - she's fantastic! I saw her numerous times during pregnancy (along with other practitioners at BAP, but I mostly saw Po and Sarah Chase). In fact I saw her a few days before I was due to give birth, and she asked if I was there for induction (which I wasn't). :)

I third this! They're fantastic, and the sliding scale is from $25-50, honor system ($10 more for the first visit). I've worked with almost everyone there and haven't been disappointed yet, but in particular I find Sarah Chase to be incredibly intuitive and amazing. Can't go wrong, though!

I second this. Been going to the Brooklyn Accupuncture Center for a long time. Great service, very relaxing and affordable.

Brooklyn Acupuncture Project is amazing. Sliding scale, very beautiful and serene atmosphere. you can find them online and even book online. It's not completely private, but it feels that way!

I can't remember is I already responded to this (pregnancy brain) but if I didn't I'm pretty sure that Rachel Esquilin at Brooklyn Acupuncture Project http://www.brooklynacupunctureproject.com/index.html is the reason I got pregnant after trying for over a year, one month of working with her and now I'm going to give birth in December. I'm still seeing her to deal with the routine aches and pains of pregnancy, she's awesome.

I second Susan! She is wonderful. I loved her willingness to work with -- rather than compete with or try to talk me out of -- the "western" medicine side of fertility treatments. She is just the greatest.
  • (no subject)

Susan Wallmeyer works out of the Brooklyn Acupuncture Project community clinic on Wednesdays, brooklynacupunctureproject.com - 3rd ave and 12th st. She deals with women's health/fertility issues (you can look up her website) and she's lovely! It's a different vibe than going to a private office, though, obviously - it's a community clinic so you're being treated in a large space with a couple of other people. On the plus side, it's sliding scale honor system $25-50.
