Review from the Spring 2023 Early Education Survey
Review: BLS is a sweet little daycare with wonderful and caring teachers. My son has gone to BLS since he was six-months old and is set to leave soon for 3K. We are sad to go! They make meals for the kids, bring in music teachers, do lots of fun crafts and projects, and have a huge backyard with toys and a playhouse. My son loves it there! Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides mealsReview from the Spring 2023 Early Education Survey
Review: Toddler is 2 yrs 4 months and been going since 5 months old. Loves the venue and vibe, teachers and fellow students. Lots of playtime, music, and learning, shared activities and meals. Some unstructured learning in Spanish sprinkled in as some of the staff are native speakers. It is on the simpler and more affordable side of whats out there in Brooklyn, but thats in no way a negative. The price is just right (again, for the Brooklyn/NYC cost of things). We would absolutely send her there again. Amenities: Has outdoor space, Provides meals What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? I can’t think if anythingDaycare Recommendations
If your older child will be at K280, another daycare option to consider is Bright Learning Stars on Vanderbilt Street, just off of McDonald Avenue. Our son went to Bright Learning Stars from ages 2-3, before he started 3K, and we had a good experience with it.Daycare Recommendations
We are at Bright Learning Stars on Terrace & 2nd and have really liked it.Review from the Spring 2022 Early Childhood Education Survey
Location: Windsor Terrace (129 Vanderbilt St) Type of facility: Daycare Review: Bright Learning Stars is a small in-home daycare and the founders are kind and warm towards all of the children. They have a room for babies, and a room for toddlers. They offer a range of activities, freshly prepared meals, music class with in English and Spanish, and plenty of open-ended play. Our son was welcomed daily and really enjoyed his time there. What amenities does the facility have? Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals What would you change about the program, if anything? I would have liked to get more information on my son's experience there daily. We did get occasional pictures, and a short daily report. Is there anything you would like to add about how the school is handling the pandemic? Towards the end of this year, I noticed some teachers/ care givers not wearing their masks as regularly.ISO Daycare Recommendations in Windsor Terrace/Kensington
