  • Daycare Recommendations

If your older child will be at K280, another daycare option to consider is Bright Learning Stars on Vanderbilt Street, just off of McDonald Avenue. Our son went to Bright Learning Stars from ages 2-3, before he started 3K, and we had a good experience with it.

  • Review from the Spring 2022 Early Childhood Education Survey

Location: Windsor Terrace (129 Vanderbilt St) Type of facility: Daycare Review: Bright Learning Stars is a small in-home daycare and the founders are kind and warm towards all of the children. They have a room for babies, and a room for toddlers. They offer a range of activities, freshly prepared meals, music class with in English and Spanish, and plenty of open-ended play. Our son was welcomed daily and really enjoyed his time there. What amenities does the facility have? Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals What would you change about the program, if anything? I would have liked to get more information on my son's experience there daily. We did get occasional pictures, and a short daily report. Is there anything you would like to add about how the school is handling the pandemic? Towards the end of this year, I noticed some teachers/ care givers not wearing their masks as regularly.
