  Review: Bright Beginnings is a small school (25 kids max, ages 2-4) in lower Manhattan that is sunny and bright and delightful. My wife and I both work downtown so we all commute together every day - it's about a block off of the 2/3 at Fulton. Our daughter loves going to school and has grown so much in the ~year that she's been there. She loves it so much that we often have to play pretend school on vacation, including singing all of the circle time songs. They have a pretty structured routine - mornings include free play, breakfast, circle time, station activities, outdoor play, and story time. After lunch and naps, they have afternoon activities that vary based on the day of the week - stuff like cooking, science, and yoga. Fridays are more relaxed with Show and Share to start the day (our daughter's absolute favorite thing), more time for free play and an afternoon dance party. We get photos throughout the day. I love their facility. It's clean and colorful and has floor to ceiling windows that flood the classroom with light. They have access to a big private playground and a fun play area in the basement with a ball pit for really cold/rainy days. They provide breakfast and lunch and our daughter seems happy with the food. The teachers are lovely and our daughter seems bonded to all 4 of them. They give us a quick update at the end of the day, though it's not nearly as detailed and lengthy as the conversations I had with her daycare teachers. If she weren't old/verbal enough now to tell me about her day, that might bother me a little bit more than it does (and if we have specific questions/concerns, they're more than happy to take as much time as we need to address them). We are very happy and would definitely send her there again. … About the facility: Has outdoor space, Provides meals … What would you change? The program runs every day from 8:30-5:30. Even though it's only a 5 minute walk from my office, I wish it went until 6.
