What month and year was your child born? July 2022 Review: Briana has a way of changing the energy in the room as soon as she walks in! We were in the hospital/labor for a few hours before we invited her in and were so tired by the time the arrived. She came in, gently asked for a situation update, and then immediately turned her attention to me. I wasn't sure what I needed or wanted (I had had to make many decisions in the time before she arrived) so she asked to give me an ear massage because she knew it was my favorite. That ear massage was the best thing that ever happened to me! She wasn't able to be with me for the cesarean, but helped my husband get ready for that experience and asked lots of extra questions that we wouldn't have thought of throughout. Any advice for people who are considering using a birth doula? I am so glad we had a doula as an extra set of eyes and ears. It was another person in the room who was on my side and had my best interests in mind. I am especially grateful since it was our first baby, but would bring her again should we ever have another!
