Recommendations for catering a party at home?

We had a really great catering experience for 20 people from Black Forest in Fort Greene - it’s German comfort food (aka not healthy) but it was well priced and it held up well in the warming trays. It was right before COVID so not sure if they’re still doing it, but we ate there recently and the food was still delicious.

We like Black Forest in Fort Greene, both for the vibe and also for the food. They have decent Pretzels, Weißwurst and other German and German-inspired goodies, including for takeout.

The closest I’ve found is the Black Forest. It’s a bar/restaurant with two locations. One in Ft Greene and the other on Smith in Boerum Hill. It’s owned by a German couple and they bake their own pretzels (large or small) and have many wursts to choose from. My daughter and I go regularly. Order for takeout!

These are all in FG: we've recently had luck with Olea (taking limited reservations), Black Forest, and Black Iris. Bonus, they have allergy-friendly items. In all cases our 18 month old had to get out and "stretch his legs" haha.
