- Park Slope Dentist for toddler no insuranceWe go to Bitesize and have always had a good experience.
- Park Slope Dentist for toddler no insuranceThey are excellent at making my son feel comfortable. You can sit on the chair with them in your lap, they have a stuffy that has teeth for explaining dental care, and TVs in the ceiling if your kid just wants to lie down and watch Peppa (or whatever). I can’t speak to the insurance part, because we have dental coverage, but they have always been very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
- Cavity filled at Bitesize? My 8 yr old son had two cavities filled this year. My biggest disappointment was learning that besides basic preventative care, these procedures were not covered. They did an excellent job. I also specifically requested not to have the nitrous oxide because I did think my son needed it. There is a thread posted from the spring about this. He did great and they were very patient and supportive. We’ve since gone to another dentist because of coverage, and it seemed like they did a great job.
- Cavity filled at Bitesize? My son has had cavities filled twice at Bitesize. He was age 5 and age 6.5. They did an excellent job at making what could have been a scary experience pain-free and easy. Unfortunately, it’s the main reason I can’t use threats of having cavities filled to get him (and his enabling sweet tooth dad) to give up sweets!!
- Pediatric dentistAnother vote for Bite Size. I took my 3 year old neurodiverse son to his first dentist appointment yesterday and they were amazing. Very kind and accommodating.
- Pediatric dentistMy kids are 2 and 4, and we go to Bite Size Pediatrics. They are on 5th Ave and 6th st in Park Slope. My kids are happy there, and they always talk about the balloon they get afterwards. During the cleaning, the kids can watch something on Netflix, and they are always excited about that.
- Pediatric dentist who accepts Guardian? We have Guardian and so I took my daughter to BiteSize Pediatric on 5th Ave [Park Slope] and they were amazing. I am serious when I say my child actually started to enjoy toothbrushing and flossing as a result of this visit. Previously it was a daily battle to brush before bed and flossing was totally impossible. They have a cute PDF on their website to prep kids for the visit too, and my now 3 year old still refers to it since she's nervous she will get "sugarbugs" if she doesn't brush/floss (part of the story in the PDF). https://wearebitesize.com/ FWIW, they give balloons and a little gift at the end which at least for my daughter went really far! They also have screens installed in the ceiling of the rooms so while child is reclined and the hygienist and/or dentist is at work, you can play a show of their choice if interested which might help a wiggly one! Decor and staff were welcoming and friendly. Good luck!
- pediatric dentist?I’m not sure if they take Healthfirst but we go to Bitesize in Park Slope and really like it. They say they take most insurance.
- Pediatric dentist that accepts Cigna?Another vote for bitesize, they’re great!
