We are extremely happy with Bey-Bee-Sit Daycare, on 14th Street at 4th Avenue. Our daughter started there at 15 months this past fall and began to thrive immediately. She has learned so much (learned to count! learned her letters! songs and words!) and loves her friends and teachers. They follow a curriculum and take the kids outside several times per day. It's also quite a large space, with a carpeted ground floor and downstairs and outdoor yard. They send updates and photos each day and she brings home a craft every day. They also did a very sweet celebration for her birthday recently, with plenty of balloon fun and group hugs. The teachers are Russian and unless your child is Russian-speaking (or you want them to be), instruction is in English. ;)

About the facility: Has outdoor space, Provides meals Review: Bey-Bee-Sit is a wonderful daycare in South Slope. My son has been going there for about a year (since age 1). He's learned and grown tremendously under Oksana and Nata's care. They are both caring and warm teachers who build strong bonds with the children and families they work with. The space at Bey-Bee-Sit is large (two floors!), organized, and spotless. There is a huge backyard where the kids go out to play twice a day. Besides outdoor play, the kids do daily crafts/projects and weekly units on topics such as weather or the beach. The toys are new and varied without too much that lights up or makes sounds. Currently, the group of kids ranges in ages from baby to toddler. This mixed age setting has been fantastic for my son and aided him in developing language and social skills. I highly recommend Bey-Bee-Sit to other Park Slope families. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? Bey-Bee-Sit has a small staff and, therefore, is closed on most NYC public school holidays. I'm a teacher so this works for me, but may be a challenge for other working parents without floating holidays or flexible schedules.

Length of time: Full days, 5 days/week Child’s Age: 2-3 years Type of facility: Private, small daycare/playschool experience run out of a person's home with a very small number of children REVIEW: I could not be happier with the care my son receives at BeyBeeSit Day Care. His learning has taken off thanks to the dedication of the caregivers, who offer a play-based curriculum to help him discover letters/numbers/colors, physical skills, and social skills. Healthy, high-quality breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided and he spends a good portion of every day outdoors in the facility backyard or on outings to local parks and playgrounds. The facility is brand new and kept sparkling clean. I get an email reporting on his daily activities, and his caretakers also keep me up to date about his progress informally and make helpful suggestions for ways that I can support his learning and growth at home. Best of all, I never feel that sending him to day care is a compromise -- I know that Oksana and Nataliya are treating him with the same loving care that I would provide for him myself. I can go to work every day feeling totally confident that he is in great hands and knowing I don't have to worry about a thing. Would you recommend? Highly recommend Would you send your child again? Absolutely

What's not to love about Bey-bee-sit daycare? My hubby and I love it SO much here that selfishly, I almost don't want to write this review! Our 16 mo. old daughter has been going there for one month and could not have better caretakers. The loving women who run Beybeesit really care about the children and are always invested in what they're learning, eating, and how they're socializing. Every day we get an update on our daughter's daily activities: her mood, what activities she engaged in, what she ate, and her bathroom schedule. We get video and photo updates and our daughter is always laughing and smiling not only at her peers but with her caretakers as well. She's learned new songs and is always doing fun things. Oh and also, did I mention that the place is brand new and has two levels and a backyard? So she has ample space to play in a really clean environment. So far her peers are gentle souls - I hope it stays that way! Hands down, I couldn't ask for a better daycare for our daughter!
