Gentle and Kind GroomerStacy from Bark slope salon on Lincoln and 7th avenue is a gem! She became my dog's groomer 9 years ago after he was fired from several groomers (he had a traumatic experience at a different neighborhood groomer that made him become very aggressive when groomed). Even as he got older and I worried about the stress of getting groomed, he was always so gently cared for with Stacy and in brighter spirits after his time with her. She is incredibly patient and good at what she does. Good luck!

ISO dog groomerWe have used Bark Slope for a long time. They are great. The one downside is it can be a bit hard to get an appointment.

(no subject)Julia at Bark Slope (Lincoln Pl. and 7th avenue) has done an amazing job grooming our labradoodle. Our dog has never looked better and we've been to several groomers in the neighborhood. Because our dog can get matted, we've found that other groomers always want to shave her. Julia took the time to brush her out with great patience and result. This is the second time we used her and the second time she's had to painstakingly brush her out. This time, she advised us on how to care for our dog (with a comb, not a brush for her coat) to avoid the matting issues, and she also offers brush outs at $1/minute for in between full groomings. I also want to say that with other groomers, our dog has inevitably been nicked and cut. Not one single injury with Julia. We have no affiliation whatsoever, just wanting to support this new small business in the neighborhood and let everyone know how impressed we are with her service and skill (June, 2010)
