During what time span have you seen this therapist? 2019 Type of therapist: Psychoanalyst What kind of patients does this therapist see? Older Children (pre-teens), Younger Children, Teens, Adults (individual therapy), Couples In-person, Zoom, or telephone therapy? In-person therapy, I don’t know about other modes Briefly describe the reasons you decided to seek help: My 6 year old was having potty accidents and bed wetting and had potentially been mistreated by a sexually inappropriate / predatory adult Does the therapist take insurance, and if not, how has your experience been with filing claims? I did not try and get reimbursed. I believe she does take some insurance. Review: Dr Barbara was wonderful with my son. He was comfortable with her and enjoyed seeing her and she used both talk and play therapy. She was also someone positive to interact with as a divorced parent with an ex who was semi- supportive of therapy. However she was not very specific about therapy or what she learned from our son about his feelings about any subject (family issues, predatory adult, etc) She is very experienced and warm but also no-nonsense. I interviewed several therapists who were either too prescriptive or too loose. I would take my son back to her if necessary. Therapy had a positive impact on my sons accidents / bed wetting and he viewed Dr Barbara as someone who was really on his side.
