  • Review from the Spring 2023 Birthing Survey

What month and year was your child born? November 2022 Review: She was great. I immediately felt at ease talking to her, abs she gave us great guidance for the last 10 weeks of pregnancy. I started to dilate at 36 weeks and she went over lactation with me urgently which was super helpful because I wasn’t thinking about it. At the hospital she was super lovely and active. My doctor said many doulas don’t do much at the hospital but Bailey was helping me hold my legs up and reminding me of the breathing techniques. When the baby arrived, she showed me that I have colostrum and how to get the baby to latch. Any advice for people who are considering using a birth doula? Find someone you feel at ease with and who is an educator.
  • Review from the Summer 2022 Birthing Survey

What month and year was your child born? May 2022 Review: I have such mixed feelings on this one. She did some birthing classes with us beforehand and was so great. During my birth though she had another client go into labor and you could tell she wanted us to just say she could leave and go to this other birth. She kept taking calls and texts during my labor and leaving the room. The birth itself went really smoothly though in large part because of how she managed the flow of everything. I had minimal damage down there and no pelvic floor issues. I think that was in large part due to Bailey’s help. The end result was great, but I wish the professionalism had been a little bit better I guess! Any advice for people who are considering using a birth doula? Definitely do it! I’m so glad we had this resource!
  • Review from the Spring 2022 Birthing Survey

We interviewed several doulas before we chose Bailey for her clear and supportive manner, and because we felt she aligned with our desire for fewer interventions than our doctors seemed to be leaning towards. Circumstances conspired against us all: I developed a rare condition that meant we had to induce labor at 37 weeks (so: all the interventions!) and our doula had three births in the three days leading up to ours, so she couldn’t be there in person until we were close to active labor. (And her backup was attending a birth). The decisions we had worried about making on our own (pitocin, water breaking, if/when to get epidural) had already been made by the time she arrived, understandably exhausted. We were happy to have hired her, but unhappy that we weren’t really able to get the benefit of her experience.
  • 2018 Birth Survey

Bailey was amazing, before, during and after the baby was born. I pretty much owe my future sex life to her as my recovery was a little rough and she had so many options and people in her rolodex to make sure I was going to heal in a reasonable time. She has so many natural tools to help you make your birth easy but completely supports your decision and the situation if you have another process for labor. We love her and feel like she is part of our family.
