Fabulous. Very knowledgeable, calm, supportive. Well worth the $$.

Audrey is also a homebirth assistant, so she’s incredible to have on your team.
  • Postpartum Doula Recommendations

Audrey Jessup was our birth and postpartum doula, and she was so great! http://www.audreyjessup.com/ In terms of how great she was for postpartum, I went back to work three weeks after our baby was born, so she came to support my wife in that transition of being alone full time caring for a newborn. She is a baby whisperer! She taught my wife several soothing techniques. Very knowledgeable about infant care and safety, talked through our sleeping needs, and helped give baby first bath. But she also cared so well not just for the baby, but for my wife—she held the baby while she napped, made food for her, did dishes, just noticed what was needed to make those early weeks feel less chaotic. And she’s zero judgemental. She offers her knowledge, but is very respectful of your parenting choices. She also rocked out as a birthing doula, if anyone is looking. I was very anxious before birth, and she was very calming to me as the birth partner. She supported me so i could do my thing to best support my wife. I would have been a frantic worried mess without her! I would highly recommend her!
  • Review for Audrey Jessup, birth and postpartum doula

Audrey was absolutely the most supportive, helpful, grounding presence throughout my labor and after! She has an incredibly calming energy and was very tuned in to our vibe. She took cues from my wife and I about how much to step in verses hanging back and letting us do our thing. She provided much-needed reassurance and emotional support as well as lots of hands-on physical comfort and suggestions for positions and techniques to move labor along. I cannot recommend her more highly! In addition to being such an invaluable member of our birth team, we also hired her for some postpartum doula shifts and she was amazing at that too. She helped me process my birth experience, helped me bathe our baby for the first time, taught us some baby soothing techniques, held the baby while I napped and showered, and cooked me dinner. Her presence was such a gift.
  • 2018 Birth Survey

Audrey is very sweet and has a very calming demeanor. My labor moved very quickly and she was not expecting that because it was an induction. By the time she arrived I didn't feel like she was of much use. My husband was an amazing support and we were fine on our own without Audrey. I think having a doula is very helpful but looking back she wasn't as necessary as I had anticipated to my labor and birth.

Audrey was incredible. She lent vital physical and emotional support not just to me, but to my husband as well. I could write a book about how indispensable she was. Overall, I felt more supported and capable with her at my side than I would've otherwise.

Dawn Chorba & Audrey Jessup Review: Dawn and Audrey were excellent, very calming and encouraging. Dawn attended my labor and relieved my husband when he needed breaks (labor is long!) and made the experience about us. They both came over post-partem and offered tips and support when were home. I felt like my concerns were always valid and responded with kind empathy, which is what one needs at that time. Based on a September 2017 birthing experience.
