Any ideas of places to buy a bird feeder locally?
Artists and Craftsman Supply on 4th Ave and 2nd Street in Park Slope usually has small, raw wood bird feeders in the back right corner, which can be hand painted. They sell all kinds of paint too (including for outdoors). I love this store.Arts and crafts store near North Slope?

They have everything you could want and need for any art and any craft project you have in mind, plus a huge selection of fun stuff that would work great as gifts for all age ranges. For standard-size prints, try Artist & Craftsman on 2nd street. Great, huge arts & crafts store tucked away on a side street - wish I'd discovered it earlier!Shout out: Artist & Craftsman Supply art supply store
I want to add my praise to the Artist & Craftsman Supply art store on 2nd St. between 4th & 5th avenues in Park Slope. In addition to it being an awesome art store all-year-round, it is well stocked to help you with costume supplies and ideas. There were 5-packs of animal masks for little ones, larger masks for all, and all sorts of materials for DIY costumes. Let’s buy local and keep this place alive! I have no direct connection with this place. Just a happy customer who is reminded of the treasure it is each time I go.shout-out for Artist & Craftsman on 2nd St/4th Ave
I could not agree more! As the parent of a child in an art high school this place has been a godsend. Plus, when my daughter uses her student ID they give a discount.shout-out for Artist & Craftsman on 2nd St/4th Ave
Lately, I have been really thankful that we have an awesome art supply store in the neighborhood. Have you been? It's gigantic, the prices are good and the staff are helpful. The store goes beyond art and carries knitting supplies, a great line of puzzles and toys that make good birthday gifts. (no affiliation, just want them to stay)Re: OT: Shout-out to Artist and Craftsman Supply on 2nd St btw 4th and 5th Aves.
I second the shout-out, we had some quality time there this past weekend getting supplies for a school project and were impressed.OT: Shout-out to Artist and Craftsman Supply on 2nd St btw 4th and 5th Aves.
Hi, I just wanted to give a shout-out to this terrific arts & crafts store that opened in the Slope last summer, which is great for last-minute gifts. It's one of a chain of employee-owned art stores throughout the country and has lots (but not an overwhelming amount!) of high-quality, reasonably priced gifts including drawing and painting kits, kites, modeling kits, clay, marker sets, science kits, board games, wooden toys, craft papers and all sorts of cool little stocking stuffers. The staff is friendly and knowledgable too. I have no affiliation with this store. I'm just glad it's in the neighborhood and want people to know about it since it's sort of tucked away from the foot traffic on 5th and 7th Avenues.
