Review from the 2020 Birthing Experience Survey
I loved the practice but Dr. Nouriel was the only provider I hadn’t met with, so naturally as luck would have it, she was on call when I went into labor. While she was nice overall, I found that she was very clinical and almost militant. She didn’t explain what she was doing or why she was doing it, and certainly didn’t pause to ask if we were okay with any of the interventions (breaking water for example). She also didn’t seem to like that our doula was present and was a bit defensive when our doula asked questions that we didn’t think to ask. However, when we had to change the plan and get a c-section, Dr. Nouriel was amazing and comforting, and really put me at ease during a distressing time.
