Re: Looking for reliable and stress-free airport car service in Park Slope
I love Arecibo! I use them all the time to go to the airport. They’re on-time (actually early), well-priced with clean cars and courteous drivers. Highly recommend! They have an app where you can schedule in advance or you can call them.Car Service to JFK with car seat for a 16-18 lbs
I’ve had great experiences with Arecibo. You book on their website and can request either infant ( rear facing) or regular car seat. They’ve always showed up on time and been prompt and helpful for us. I’ve also used them coming from the airport to Brooklyn and their airport pickup was easy.Airport car ideas
I found a good driver, Ray, originally via Arecibo but you can call him directly to arrange a pick up in advance. His # is 929.426.6532. He was nice and drove safely.Airport car ideas
Arecibo! Way cheaper than Uber usually. You can schedule ahead of time and they have always been on time, even when I needed a 5am pickup.Airport car ideas
Arecibo. They also have some car seats available to request if you need that option.Airport car ideas
Our family has been using Arecibo Car Service for many years. In fact, I don't think we have ever used anything different to get to the airport. Super reliable. It's kind of what they are known for.Reccs for Great Car Service for PICK UP from Airport?
Arecibo is very safe, pleasant, and reliable for airport pickups with car seats but the drivers end up waiting a very long time, especially if your flight is delayed, so we end up tipping very generously which makes it a little less of a good deal.Reccs for Great Car Service for PICK UP from Airport?
Try Arecibo. We've used them to the airport because they are reasonably priced with car seats. But very easy to work with and I'm sure they offer an in-airport meeting.how to get a taxi / car service from JFK with a car seat in it?
We've used Arrecibo LOTS and still will but just fyi it's not always perfect--we had a pretty oddball/speeding/unstable driver back from JFK last night. Driving back from the airport in NYC is often harrowing despite how much you plan.how to get a taxi / car service from JFK with a car seat in it?
We’ve used Arecibo twice very recently, great experiences both times. We needed two car seats for our kids, ages 3 and 5. You can make a reservation online and you’ll receive an email shortly afterwards confirming the reservation. You can call too. We will be using them again soon for another trip from LGA. I wish we had given it a shot earlier, since it has been working well for us, knock on wood. Unrelated to the car seats but perhaps useful to someone reading this, Arecibo will also send you a “low car” on request, if you need. Sometimes you can’t climb into a non-sedan car for whatever reason. When I had a c-section 3 years ago, they became my go-to instead of Lyft (where you can’t specify having this need).Advise: LaGuardia airport pick up. Driver meet at luggage
I also recommend calling Arecibo or doing a car service. Although it was not La Guardia, when I arrived at JFK the taxi line was like waiting for a ride at Disney land.Advise: LaGuardia airport pick up. Driver meet at luggage
Consider Aricebo, we use them all the time and they are great and their dispatch office is located in Park Slope on 5 between Sackett and Degraw.Arecibo car seat feedback
I had the same experience recently - when the cab pulled up the car seat wasn’t even *buckled in* which I didn’t even notice until after my daughter was strapped in (chalk it up to managing a 1+2 year old for a 9am flight)! I mentioned this when I booked the cab for the return and it was at least installed properly on the way back but similarly I was pretty shocked that you pay more to just have a car seat randomly chucked in.Arecibo car seat feedback
We also had a similarly poor experience with arecibo’s car seats. We scheduled a car to bring us to the airport about a month ago and requested a car seat. When the car arrived the car seat was not installed and I had to ask the driver to install it, which he seemed oddly surprised by and said “oh you want to use the seat?” Which was a funny question to ask since I had both requested a car seat AND I was holding my 8 month old baby at that moment. When he did install it he really didn’t know how to do it and he put the seatbelt tightly across the seat so when I got in the car to put her in I encountered a physically impossible situation. At that point it was pouring rain and my husband had to undo the seat and figure out how to install it himself. The car seat also wasn’t set up when we were picked up by a different driver on the way home, though he did install it properly. Both car seats were very stained and dirty looking, which didn’t bother me too much but might bother someone so I figure I’ll mention it while I’m at it. Otherwise Arecibo is easy to schedule and very affordable so if you do ask for a car seat just get those expectations down real low.Arecibo car seat feedback
After seeing the advice from the Advice boards on Arecibo, we used them recently for trips to/from the airport and asked them to provide a car seat. I have to say, neither of the car seats were installed properly. The outbound one (front facing) did not have the tether hooked, which because of the way we were all seated, I didn't realize until we were almost at the airport. On our return ride, the seat was nowhere near tight enough. I did my best to tighten it but couldn't get it properly installed myself in the two minute hustle of whistles, honking, with two crying kids after a 15 hour flight. Maybe there are other drivers who are more diligent about making sure they are up to speed on car seat installation, but I wouldn't rely on a car service to provide the car seat for me anymore.Car Service From Newark
I’ve used Prem’s Luxury (recommended by another parent on PSP). You can contact them via Facebook. They are a bit more expensive than Arecibo but the car is super nice (luxury suv) and because it’s a small operation, you know well in advance who your driver is so you can provide their number to your parents or call them if anything comes up. They were super accommodating with us and would definitely help with bags. You have to book in advance because they often are booked up. Arecibo is great as well. I personally would do Prem’s Luxury for my parents and Arecibo for myself.Car Service From Newark
We used Arecibo for my parents, they’re great!Airport Car Services w/ TWO Car Seats
Highly recommend Arecibo! I've only needed to do one car seat, but I can't see why they won't do 2!Car service Recs from airport?
We recently went with Aricibo for thanksgiving. On the way to the airport we paid the usual $39 plus $5 for a car seat on the way back they charged us an additional $20 for a large car (van/suv) which is what they’ve always sent. We tried to argue but they said nope these are our prices now. I will NOT be using them again.Car Service to Airport w/ car seat
We love Arecibo!Car Service to Airport w/ car seat
Arecibo way better experience.Does Arecibo still exist? Need to get to JFK early am
We used Arecibo 2 weeks ago and it was wonderful until we got 5 minutes from home and the driver told us his credit card reader wasn't working, so we'd have to pay cash. In retrospect, I should have just called the dispatch and given them my CC info directly, but we were jet lagged and exhausted, and he drove us to an ATM. So I do recommend them for the service in general, but just make sure you've got payment info set upfront.Does Arecibo still exist? Need to get to JFK early am
I just had 2 very good experiences with Arecibo getting to LGA and coming from JFK. My flight to JFK was delayed an hour but our driver was right where he said he would be to get us home after a long day of travel.Does Arecibo still exist? Need to get to JFK early am
Arecibo is definitely still around! We used their service to get back from JFK a couple of weeks ago. At peak times there can be a bit of a wait to get someone on the phone, but they are there! You can also book online or via the app, but I always just call.Lyft/Uber or local car service to JFK at 4:30 am?
On Monday I needed a ride to JFK, and at 7am Lyft and Uber were charging over $140. Arecibo was a rational $42.Lyft/Uber or local car service to JFK at 4:30 am?
I also started using Arecibo a couple years ago when Uber/Lyft were frequently getting up to around $100 for JFK & LGA from my spot in Midwood. Arecibo has been amazing each time, paying in cash I think it's $40 or $45 flat rate + tip to the airport (you can use a card too but it might have tax or a credit fee) – it has always been significantly cheaper than Uber/Lyft and better service. You can call their dispatcher or they also have an app, and for scheduling your return home you can enter the flight number & the driver will watch for updates in case you're early or delayed. Fantastic service.Lyft/Uber or local car service to JFK at 4:30 am?
Arecibo car service all the way. It will be at least $20 less than Uber or Lyft or yellow taxi in my experience. 718-783-6465 You can schedule ahead online or call and schedule. I usually schedule them to pick me up at the airport as well. It is always more reliable and cheaper than alternatives.Taxi or car services with car seats
Arecibo offers car seats for an extra $5 as well. Though I haven't rented an infant seat from them myself (we have a Mifold booster for our older child (+40lbs only) that we bring on trips) I've always been very happy with their service and prices.Taxi or car services with car seats
I’ve used Areceibo - the first driver had zero idea how to actually use or install it, but they had a second driver over very quickly with a seat the worked and all was good.Taxi or car services with car seats
I can also vouch for Arecibo.Taxi or car services with car seats
We just used Areceibo to get to LGA (like, I’m currently sitting on a plane). It went well, I called them an hour before we needed the pickup and it was $48 with a toddler seat from Ditmas Park.Taxi or car services with car seats
We've used Aricebo several times with success. You just need to let them know weight and if you need rear or front facing.Taxi or car services with car seats
Second Arecibo!Taxi or car services with car seats
We regularly use Aracebo car service for this.Car service with infant?
We've also used Arecibo recently to/from the airport and they were wonderful! Highly recommend them. Was great and super easy to have them pick us up from the airport, too. I just called them the day before our flights.Car service with infant?
We use Arecibo - super reliable, very reasonably priced and when I request a car seat they always have a driver who has one. They are our go to car service for airport trips.Car Service with Rear Facing Car Seat
I just used Arecibo Car Service to take my 7-week-old and husband and I to LaGuardia, and they were great, and the same price point as a yellow cab ($38-40), including the fee for a car seat. When I called to reserve the car, they asked my child's age/weight to make sure they brought the right size rear-facing seat. Depending on availability it sounded like you could also call for a car on-demand but they recommended reserving ahead of time.
