Annette was great. She knew before the doctor did that I had to go to the hospital. She was supportive during labor and delivery. She was maybe too non intrusive, I wish she had been a bit more involved at times. But overall I would recommend her. She’s gentle and experienced.Review submitted via the PSP Birth Survey
From the moment we met Annette we knew she was one of the best resources we could imagine for our pregnancy and delivery. It was clear that she approaches her role as a partner to us, and to the nurses / physicians involved. This was extremely important to us to ensure delivery would be positive and collaborative between the many well educated participants in the room during delivery. No surprise, our doctors and nurses were also in love with Annette, asking her to be at all of their deliveries. Before, during and after, Annette was ever present to help us understand our choices, what questions to ask or otherwise interpret what we were experiencing. I also attribute our success with breastfeeding to her support and guidance. She is a phenomenal advocate. My husband and I agreed we wouldn't have wanted to do any of this without her. Member Review: All I wanted from a doula was guidance during labor and advocacy for my birth plan and I got it in spades. She massaged me during the peak pain moments, and calmly talked me through the push process and helped my babe latch-on within the first hour he was alive. I couldn't have done it without her! Review Date: April 2012 REVIEW: Annette was truly spectacular -- her prenatal consult was incredibly helpful, and she was a rockstar in the delivery room. Her hands-on work/massage, coaching of my husband, and general support/guidance were indispensible. INSURANCE ISSUES: No insurance.
