Re: [PSP] Violin lessons for a 3 year old?You pretty much need a Suzuki-like methodology for children that young. Both my children did Suzuki (cello and violin) starting at age 3. My younger one, age 7, is taking lessons now with Annelies Mast, whom I recommend enthusastically, unreservedly, and whole-heartedly. She teaches out of her home in Windsor Terrace, which we drive to/take the subway or bus to, or now and then walk to.
(no subject)My son took lessons last year from a really great teacher, Annelies Mast, at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, the School for Strings, Etc. in their Suzuki programs. She's an accomplish musician and a well trained Suzuki teacher. I looked her up just now and see that she's also giving private lessons. Looks like she's in Windsor Terrace.
