Looking for a Cat - animal shelters?
We adapted from the NYACC https://www.nycacc.org/ The good thing is that you can foster a cat from them to see if it is a good fit for your family before you adapt it, we fostered one and it wasn't a good fit with kids at all, the we fostered another one for a few weeks and it was fantastic, great with the kids and very mellow, so we ended up adapting him.
