I can not recommend Dr. Andrew Rokito enough. I’ve seen him three separate times for three different injuries and he hasn’t jumped to surgery any of those times! He’s an orthopedic surgeon affiliated with NYU. The first time I went to see him was for a second opinion where my first opinion wanted to do a massive surgery. Dr. Rokito put me on oral steroids for 5 days and sent me to PT. Now 3 years later, no surgery and mostly pain free!!Re: looking for a knee/leg orthopedist
I don't know if he takes Oxford but I highly recommend Dr. Andrew Rokito at NYU. I went to him after tearing my ACL and everyone I knew was saying I would need surgery but he didn't!! I am 4 months out and managing just fine without surgery. He just prescribed PT and I go about once a month (I'm a PT myself) and do the exercises on my own for the rest of the month.(no subject)
I used Dr. Rokito also. He was very nice and thorough. Took his time and was eager to help. I did not end up doing the surgery he suggested however, and am very glad I didn't. PT helped and I'm fine without it. (May 2012)(no subject)
I second Dr. Rokito. Several people I know have gone him for shoulder and knee. (May 2012)(no subject)
My hubby sees Andrew Rokito at NYU and really likes him. He saw him for his knees- but does shoulder stuff too! (May 2012)
