highly recommend Fran Reinstein and Andrea Thau and Associates. http://www.drthauandassoc.com/ Everyone in the practice is a developmental optometrist, SUNY affiliated. Developmental optometrists have VD letters as part of their credentials. I took my son to a highly recommended opthamologist when I sensed he had vision problems. He didn't pick up on anything. Dr. Reinstein tested him. He has 20/20 vision, but has convergence deficiency, which means he has trouble teaming his eyes. He was using 60% of his energy just focusing. Once he started vision therapy, everything changed. I hope you are as lucky as I was in finding someone as gifted as the practitioners in this office. (November 2011)
