No dental insurance & Need root canal and new crown
I use a dental discount plan, which is much cheaper than insurance but offers many of the same benefits. I pay less than $100 a year for a plan through aetna and many things are heavily discounted (I believe fillings are 50% if I remember correctly). I bought it when I needed a root canal myself to help offset the cost. My dentist Dr. Alla Dorfman at Tribeca Dental takes it, and I'm pretty sure many others do, too.
