Help for an anxious/perfectionist daughter
We did Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for my son when he was younger (7) and it made a pretty significant difference in his anxiety. It’s different from talk therapy because it is a set of skills you learn to change how you react to a situation. We did it at the NYU Child Study Center in the evenings with Aleta Angelosante who was great. It wasn’t cheap but we felt it was worth it and it was a set course of therapy - not open ended. I really think they should teach CBT at schools because it can be truly incredible. We also took a class there for parents on how to help our anxious children. Anyway not sure if this is helpful but it may be something to consider.
