  • Special occasion dinner recommendation?

    We ordered and picked up from Al Di La for my birthday last week. Everything was delicious, including the cake with whipped cream. Delivery is also an option.

    We love Al Di La on 5th and Caroll. Food is really great, and it’s a really romantic place :)

    Al Di La was amazing. Also a small restaurant on the corner of 7th ave and 10th or 11th ( I don't remember the name, starts with an "S") was pretty good, too.

  • ISO Baby Shower restaurant/venue

    Al Di La was surprisingly affordable for a nice baby shower with a small group (we were 22 people). We ended up needing the restaurant space. Had we been two people less we could have used their wine bar space and then there wouldn't have been any room rental fee! As it was, the fee for having the full space was far less than at other places in the area that I didn't think were in the same league in terms of food and ambiance. Rose Water, for instance, wanted something like $2000 just to use the space! That did not include food or alcohol!

    Al di La is also good if you go early. I'm not sure if they open at 6 or 6:30, but if you go early, you will not have to wait, and your baby can sleep in the stroller or car seat. (March 2012)

    Our favorite ( hand down) is al di la on carroll and 5th. They have both brunch and lunch dishes on their menu. Its rustic Italian food at it's best. Great pasta ( even for kids) polenta, chicken and sandwiches.

    Where are the good restaurants in North Park Slope? If you haven't been to Al Di La, then get there. Fills up early, but if you're local, they'll take your number and call you when your table opens up.
