We really like Accurate Appliance Repair. (718) 236-7718 They charge a fee to visit, however, if it CAN be fixed- it's applied to the bill. If it's a "goner", you lost the visit fee. We have had great success with Accurate Appliance Repair 718-236-7718. They were even able to fix our drier when someone else couldn't. He was also very much in favor of fixing our older machine and keeping it going vs. buying a new one.ISO: washing machine repair person
I can recommend Joe at Accurate Appliance Repair- 718-236-7718. He was recommended to me several years ago and I have used him ever since for many different appliances. Always honest and even directed me once to go directly to the manufacturer because they would be able to do the repair more inexpensively- So that says something...Refrigerator technician?

Per a reco on PSP, we've used Accurate Appliance Repair 3 times now and they were great! They fixed our stove and our fridge at different times, for a reasonable cost and we haven't had issues since then. I feel they're honest (to the point where I told them about my washing machine issues over the phone and they told me, "save your money. It will cost more to fix vs. buy a new machine") and reliable. But be warned..... Don't let the receptionist turn you off, as the repair people are wonderful.Washing Machine Repair

First on our fridge (cost about $200 to fix and haven't had a problem since), then on our oven (that was probably just under $200, and also haven't had a problem since)! Just last year, when our washing machine stopped working I called them a 3rd time, and based on the issue, they diagnosed it over the phone for free and told me to buy a new washer. The cost of repair wouldn't be worth it. So I am now a HUGE fan! But beware..... The receptionist who fields all calls is quite "spicy". She is gruff, cranky, and has zero phone skills. Try accurate appliance. We've used them 2x now in the past two years for a fridge and stove. I just called them 2 weeks ago about my washer, but they were able to diagnosis over the phone and not charge me. (Sadly, we needed to buy a new washer, but I was happy I didn't have to pay for a service call to figure that out!) I feel they're honest and reasonably priced. (If I remember this correctly, each repair was under $200.) Warning, their receptionist is extremely "rough around the edges". I used Accurate Appliance Repair (718-236-7718) on the recommendation of my neighbor when my GE washer wouldn't go through the whole wash cycle - they got to me fast, fixed the problem (the button inside the lid was broken - tip for all, don't let anything sit on your washer or let the lid slam, it can mess with that button), charged me reasonably (a lot less than what GE said they'd charge) and there was some kind of guarantee on the part - I can't remember now, maybe it was 60 days? Overall I was perfectly happy and would call them again.
