  • Flexible daycare

You might try AMA Family Daycare, on E. 9th St. between Beverley and Avenue C. The owner is incredibly sweet and while we kept a pretty consistent schedule, I bet she could roll with something else if she had room.
  • Daycare Recommendations - Ditmas Park

We are also at AMA (our 2 year old started at 6 months and our 5 month old has been there since February) and we adore it. There's no app and you won't get regular updates, but it's warm, loving, and currently has a really wonderful community of parents. I don't think there are any infant spots at the moment, but if it might be a good fit, it's worth checking in to see what the wait list is like. Our son can't wait to go every morning, and he comes home so excited about what he has learned—which is really all we could ask for at this age!

Our younger daughter went to a family daycare, AMA and we were very happy with them as well. They’re on e 9th, just north of cortelyou.
  • Review from the Spring 2022 Early Childhood Education Survey

Location: 350 E. 9th Street (Kensington, Brooklyn) Type of facility: Daycare Review: We could not be happier with our daycare choice—the owner and her longtime partner treat the children with so much genuine love and warmth. Our child has been there for almost a year now, and he is always smiling at drop-off and pick-up. It's a group family daycare, so the ages are mixed, and we've found that our son's development has exploded from being around slightly older kids. He is always coming home with new words, interests, dances, and skills. Plus all meals and snacks are taken care of! I could not recommend this wonderful facility and its community of families more. What amenities does the facility have? Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals What would you change about the program, if anything? Honestly, nothing.
  • Review from the 2019–2020 Daycare, Preschool, Pre-K, and K Survey

Review: Such a loving at home daycare. They do lots of arts & crafts that get sent home at the end of the week. They’re also bilingual and do half days in Spanish. They’re communicative and made sure to share pictures everyday when my daughter started. Would highly recommend! Amenities offered: Has outdoor space, Provides meals
