- Car mechanic recommendationI have had good results on exactly this problem at A&D Auto Upholstery on 60th street. They have replaced mildewed carpeting on two(!) of my cars that have had this leak, in the past five years. The prevention trick that I’ve heard of (a bit too late) is to make sure that the drainage channels get blown out with compressed air, every year or three. They need to print this in red ink, on the front cover of every car manual. :-)
