This morning, I went down to the basement to find the gate left open once again. One of our neighbours’ bicycles was stolen. We decided to call a locksmith to have the cylinders replaced on our doors and a deadbolt added, wondering if the thief had somehow gotten hold of our door key. It took the locksmith all of 20 seconds to jimmy the lock with a plastic card and open the door. He recommended installing a j-bar on the door so the door strike would no longer be easily accessible. This was a much more economical option than another locksmith encouraging us to replace all our locks. Too bad the police didn’t give us the correct information in the first place. Now is a good time to check the security of your doors and gates. We highly recommend 5th Avenue Locksmith.(no subject)
I have use 5th ave key shop on 9th street btw 4th and 5th. They have been around forever and seem to do a good job(no subject)

5th Avenue was even nice -- and their minimum fee of $75 (which was the total fee for us) was less than other companies. (Recommended 1/10)
