At Tinkergarten™, we develop, test and share outdoor activities for your kids that are dead simple, wildly fun and designed for learning. As career educators and parents ourselves, we are committed to helping other parents learn to guide play-based, outdoor activities for their kids that build critical skills while everyone has fun.
One part of our work is teaching local classes directly to our neighbors here in Brooklyn (the greatest gig!). All of our classes take place outdoors (the ideal classroom) in Prospect Park. By design, Tinkergarten classes help kids learn to play, tinker and explore. Why should parents value tinkering and exploring? When kids imagine, experiment and make things in their world, they develop a sense of joyful wonder and essential skills such as problem solving, creativity, and an ability to focus and persist—the skills we believe they’ll need most (and those we fear are undervalued in school today).
In addition to joining our local classes, parents join our mailing list at tinkergarten.com where we make our activities available to parents, caregivers and teachers all over the world.
Come learn outside with us today! Meghan and Brian Fitzgerald
