Know Your Zone! Are You Hurricane Ready?

 The New York City Office of Emergency Management has prepared a ton of great information and resources about where to go and what to do in the event of another bad storm.

 

They've released the information as part of the "Know Your Zone" campaign, which asking New Yorkers to be aware of their zone in the event of a hurricane or coastal emergency where there might be flodding.  These zones are ranked by their danger of flooding from storm surge (with zone 1 being the most likely to flood). In the event of a hurricane or coastal storm, residents in these zones may be ordered to evacuate.

Know Your Zone is your destination for everything you need to know about hurricanes in New York City. You'll find information about the city's hurricane evacuation zones, the hazards you may face from a hurricane, and what to do to prepare.
